As much as I like seeing a Vette owner handed theirs... This is kinda apples and oranges. An old 80's era sports car vs. a current model performance sedan isn't much of a comparison. We used to own an '04 Toyota Sienna minivan and I could take the old 5.0 Mustangs with it.

congratulations Kingsnake, you managed to find a video of an RT charger getting it's ass handed to him by a C5 Vette that practically brings the front wheels off the ground, and appears to run in the 11's. What's your point?

Actually, it is an SRT-8 Charger, not an R/T. Although the end result would have been about the same, just more of a beating.

It is an SRT8 and certainly a more apples-to-apples comparison than the OP...

A stock sounding, 4 door SRT-8 and an 11.39 turning 'Vette is certainly NOT apples-to-apples.
The original post is more apples-to-apples. HP wise, those cars are pretty close. It looks like to me, the difference in the race was two fold... the Charger has at least an exhaust mod, (sounds great, by the way) and you can see the 'vette spins the tires for a second or so. Otherwise, it's a close race. I thought the rims in the second video looked like R/T rims, thats why I called it that. Yes, I see the hood scoop, but I believe there's a SRT appearance package out. And, the car is SLOW!

Were any of these 5.0 Mustangs aware you were racing them? Cause there is no way on gods green earth you had a 14 sec Sienna van, and that's what one of those cars ran off showroom floor.

Stock 5.Slows were usually in low 15's. I can think of a few of modern mediocre vehicles that can outrun that

You're right. The best I could conjure up with my bone stock 92 was a 15.1 with an auto tranny. But 14s are not uncommon with a manual tranny and a decent launch.
