1. you're not going to get 80/100 hp out of the flash. Noone else who's bought has gained that much. That's a best case, ideal conditions, manipulated dyno advertisement.

2. you're not going to get another 20hp from a K&N CAI. In the real world, NOONE that I've seen (and I've seen a few) has gained more than 10 rwhp from a CAI. Again that's best case scenario with someone who knows how to make a dyno show gains.

Get before and after dyno runs with these 2 mods. Then bring your sheets back to this thread and post them up.
That is correct that you will not see 80 peak HP on a back to back dyno run as it is not peak hp and tq, everything comes in sooner, etc.. IF it was only a minimal gain it would not make much difference to these trucks, ask everyone with a QC that has the DC Flash, and it is jekyll and Hyde. I went from getting my ass kicked by the charger to beating it by 2 lengths. To make that much of a difference in a 5700+ LB truck is substantial. Dynos are only good for tuning, take it to the track and you will see the HP gains just from your trap speed..

I was never told about any 60/80/ hp settings, it was based on what octane i would be using, there minimal timing differnces with the flashes per Dan..

What does Jekyll and hyde mean? By the way guys your right. Dan said the that with the flash I will feel the 80 hp between 3,000 rpm and 5000 rpm.
The gains are through the power band.

I went from getting walked on by my folks SRT-8 Charger, to pulling it by 1.5- 2 full truck lenghts in a 1/4 mile. That was when my truck only had 900 miles on it. With 3100 on it now, it is starting to break in..

Again, it is worth the money on a QC!
I thought you said the numbers aren't 80 hp and 100 ftlb of torque??

jekyll and hide means it is 2 different animals, the 80 HP is not going to show on a dyno, the best way to see the gains is to take it to the track and do back to back runs.. I have said the performance difference is about the equivalent to 80/100 per Dan, and from my results I have no reason to doubt him..

I'll put the PCM and thermostat in tonight and play around a little and give my opinion. Then, say by thursday, I'll get the dyno numbers!

OK, its 10:30 here and I just got done with the install and a short drive....

...OH SHIT...this makes a huge difference. Spun through 1st and 2nd and chirped in 3rd.
I'll dyno this week twice, first with the old then with the new PCM to see what the difference is and I'll also compare to last years dyno.

errr....ahhhh...It's alot faster and you can really feel how hard it pulls but its still 5800 lbs. I am sure its gonna run in the high 12s but fast is a relative term. The PCM flash was well worth the cost! Total was $1018, $600 for the flash, 350 for the PCM (used I believe) and $68 for the thermostat.

my best run with the 91 flash, mopar headers, no cats, magnaflow and cold air intake was 12.9...that was with one set of golf clubs, two baby seats and being driven by a friend who has never driven the truck before
