Well, I know this is not the site that is crazy about the VCA, but what the heck. I just received a flyer for the VERY LAST SRT-10 Ram ever produced, which is being raffled off as a fundraiser for said VCA. It is signed by a bunch of the SRT guys and is documented as the very last of the last.
I thought some of the folks here would like a shot at this before it sells out. Most of the VCA raffles sell out - and this is the first one EVER to be open to non-VCA members. Here is the flyer which I uploaded to our local site (right click and "save as" to view it more quickly):
I know some of you don't visit the VCA forums much anymore but thought you would be interested. Last one produced and in a cool package too (quad cab Night Runner). Over and out!
I got a note from somebody very close to this raffle along with a few pictures of just a few of the signatures adorning this truck:
"It was a great morale builder for ALL the truck line people to sign it. James Fink of SRT personally went down there to make sure it was done right. Then, special handling was used to bring it to FREC (Featherstone Road Engineering Center in Detroit) so ALL the engineers and marketing people involved in its design and execution could sign. To the best of my knowledge, NO production vehicle in the history of Detroit has ever received such documentation and treatment from ANY manufacturer. This exceeded even the line signatures of special Viper models in the past. This IS the most collectible Dodge truck ever built in my opinion."
Tickets are still available and the raffle entry form can be found here:
With the numbers involved, the winner should get both QC and RC Ram SRT10's... They'd sell more tickets and the winner could sell the truck they don't want to pay the taxes.
The deadline is just a couple short weeks away so you better start telling your friends about this one. This is one of the hottest things to ever come out of SRT. Throw in the incredible pedigree of this baby and you have yourself one of the most collectible Mopars on the planet! Heck, if you are watching Barrett-Jackson then you know this one would probably bring PREMIUM bucks going across that stage.
Here's why:
It is the VERY last Dodge SRT10 Ram Truck made. Period. They ended production in 2006 and this was the last down the line. It gets better: It is also the Night Runner Edition (dark wheels, blacked out bumpers, headlight surrounds, etc.) of which they had originally planned 400 but rumor is less than half that were ever built. Each came with a plaque on the inside showing the serial number of the 400 to be made. In keeping with the theme, this one is number 400 of 400 (400/400)!
Still want more? No problem! This is the QUAD CAB version with four doors and full back seat for passengers. It comes with an automatic, so no worries about learning to drive a stick either.
Still more? Okay, the best part: Hidden throughout this vehicle are the signatures of the plant employees as this last truck went down the line. Not on the outside paint or interior, but darn near everywhere else such as the frame, engine compartment, tonneau cover, etc. And to finish it off, it was then shipped to the Featherstone Road Engineering Center where all of the engineers, designers, and marketing folks involved could sign it as well.
It has more signatures than any production vehicle from any manufacturer as far as we know. Even more than the line signatures of special Viper models in the past. It is easily one of THE most collectible trucks, if not overall vehicles, in the world. The very best of the very last!! And remember, this is the ONLY VCA raffle that has ever been open to the general public. The only problem is they don't know about it unless you tell them (please do). Think of all those family members that would love to tool around in this beauty - assuming they didn't store it away for a not-so-rainy day ($$$$$$). There are currently plenty of tickets left and your odds superb. This is definitely one you won't want to miss!

Well if it's 400 of 400 I guess the rumors were false, hunh??
The VCA simply HAS to make money....and as the Treasurer I guess it falls on you.....BUT....I've said this many times:
LAME. Sorry....but where are the days where the VCA raffled off a ONE-OF-A-Kind VIPER, to VCA Members?
I have to say, though.....there has to be some thanks for setting a precedent. I think it would be great to see a Viper Alley One-of-a-Kind Viper. Maybe a GEN I, custom painted....and everyone can send their signatures in to have them reproduced on the shift knob in TINY letters!
Seriously.....now the VCA has gone where many other car clubs have gone, just a common car club.
The ONE-OF-A-KIND Vipers were what set the VCA apart....those days are gone.
Nice truck, but as stated (implied), not worth even the taxes that will be due.
and I say all this as if I really cared....... LOL!

Exactly. Don't get me wrong, this truck looks nice, but it is not even worth spending $100 per ticket on it. There is nothing special about this truck imo.

Nah, they are actually coming sooner than you think (and a LOT more special than you could imagine). But we still have to move tickets for this truck...
I'm telling you, don't give up on the VCA just yet!
I imagine they've sold VERY few tickets for this truck.
Odds are still pretty good, but far from "very few". The challenge is that the VCA made it available to the public for the very first time. But forgot to tell the public...
