Srt-10 for company vehicle?

I own a pipe and supply company and mostly just use my truck for sales and alot of highway driving. What Im mostly concerned about is my 30' baja boat. Trailer and all im looking at 10k, can this truck safely handle this weight. And would it be gutless trying to pull that. Ive always had powerstrokes and am a little leary of going with the srt.

These trucks are not designed with towing in mind. The RCs didn't even come with towing equipment and the manufacturer discourages towing with it.
The QC does have a tow rating and equipment, but it still wasn't designed with that in mind. It's made to go fast and look good. If I planned to tow anything other than a jet ski or small dirt bike trailer I would buy a diesel.

Just my 2 cents.

However they are rated to tow 8,150lbs, I know several people who have bought them with that in mind.

Don't forget though that the tongues are low and the suspension is a performance suspension.

As Far as gutless, no it's not gutless, 500 HP at 5,600 rpm and 525 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm.

Your Diesel is going to out perform in torque on the low end power with 325 hp at 2,900 rpm and 610 lb-ft of torque around 1,600 rpm, thats on a cumins Turbo Diesel.

The nice thing about the SRT-10 QC as I'm sure you're already considering is that it's a great tool for advertising and image and since it's has the ability to tow, well everyone sees Diesels as work trucks, not many people see SRT-10's.

They are a nice truck but if you are doing serious towing I would go with the diesel. Are you on the TBM website?

hey bud.
I was thinking about the same thing and had the dealership hook one up to my trailer. Driving the diesel.
That and I couldn't justify picking up customers in West Texas in a Viper Truck. Costs the same as my diesel (or close anyway) but people would not see that. just my 0.02$

So you pulled a trailor with the srt-10 truck? You are correct about the truck in our area, I was even thinking about taking the emblems off and especially the wing to make it less obvious. So I guess Im gonna have to trade my fiances brand new yukon in on one, lol. Its driving me nuts not to have one at those crazy prices.

We just traded our SRT/10 for a diesel. It was a RC though and couldn't tow anything. If I would have had the quad cab I may have stayed with it.
