Brake issues

I have a 05 QC SRT-10 with 12500 miles and 13 months old. Mostly city driving. Got it serviced from my dealer and said the brakes are pretty low on the front. OK. Special ordered from Minnesota and they put them on. Told me the rotors were turned 3X each. Now bad vibration when braking.

Dealer is barking about not paying for a new set of rotors.

Options for cross drilled or slotted rotors?

What kind of mileage do any of you guys get out of a set of pads and rotors?

Thanks

I would push the stealership to put on the new rotors. They usually only warranty 12,000 miles but since they put on the new pads and turned the old rotors they will probably go ahead and fix your rotors.

I only have 3000 miles on my truck and it's a reg cab so I can't say how many miles you should get. I haven't seen any cross drilled or slotted rotors because they are unique to our trucks. Not worth the R&D to make them just for us. Some guys I know are buying new stock rotors and having them drilled but you are taking a chance IMO if you do that.
Good luck.

If you had no vibrations before they should hve never turned them at all.

Steve Austin at Venom motorsports has the drilled rotors if ya want them.

Thanks for everyone's help.

The dealer agreed to put on new front rotors at there expense. Now the truck rides like new.
