Exhaust System-Supercharged RAM SRT 10

Looking for an exhaust system for a 2004 RAM SRT 10 recently supercharged with a Paxton Novi 2000 kit . Any ideas ?

Kinda lost on this one bo. do you need a stock system? Or do you have the paxton and are looking for headers , mids and cat back?

Thanks for the reply. We currently are running a stock exhaust and are considering headers,mid-pipes and cat back now that we have the supercharger bolted on. I noticed on a previous thread that others have gone with Bellanger longtubes and Magnaflow catback. Any feedbackspecific to forced induction ?

Well there is alot of speculation on this issue, some say its worth it, some say its not. Personally I think it could do nothing but help.

As far as exhaust first off, go with long tubes no matter what, shorties jsut dont add too much. go with bellangers or Mopar, just the bellangers are allready coated i think and Mopar isnt.

Go with a good mid pipe, and not cats or hi flos if needed. X-metal now has mid pipes 3 " with or witout cats, jsut check his web site www.x-metal.com I think and get his number and ask for Gary.

Then pick your cat back, mot I have seen is the magnaflow or the borla, they seeem to be the most popular.

Have I seen back to back dynos, with and without headers on a paxton , no, so I cant truthfully tell youthey will help or hurt.

I do know HEAT is the major problem with the paxton, that and tuning, and also make sure to use the pulley supplied with the kit and not the stock one, you WILL get belt slippage.

Once again x-metal and DC performance have made major strides with the heat soak issue with these trucks and paxtons.

Most of the big guns I should say, are around the 650rwhp mark, with stock internals.

but to get answers on what you need I would suggest contacting Chris at DC perfromance or Gary at X-metal they should be able to get you what you need, just remember it costs to get what you want , if anyone says its such and such $'s, then double it and you should be safe.

Good luck bo, hope this helped.

Honestly I cant say, I have never asked , thats a good question.

I think the ones you can get from bellanger are

Not sure if you can get them with Mopars or not

Heck I dont know bo, but will try to find out, but I dont think Gary has a manderal machine, let me check a little.

Thanks again Stinker. The heat problem is evident. We have discussed powder coating the headers both inside and out.

Whats the point of mid-pipes that are not mandrel bent. So they are crush bent. So a 3" Crush bent pipe, is more like a 2 1/2" pipe. So what the advantage to that.

I am running Belanger long tubes and mids (Coated) and Magnaflow cat back but I am NA.

The Belangers are top notch. Not sure how the tubes affect the Paxton setup but for me they are great.

Im using a B&B full exhaust, they are SS and dont need to be coated but i did anyway. I have the paxton kit on my truck with a few other mods and made 660 hp and 635 ft tq. that was on a dyno jet. I love the way the B&B sound and fit. The magna flow sounds ok but you need to weld the thing in to get the most out of the slip joints on that system. The B&B are bolt togeather with gaskets and the whole exhaust looks like a dam mirrior. more expansive then the magna flows but better quality I.M.O.
