Sweet. Despite a 90 degree coming off the exhaust outlets a bit too soon - the power potential of that design is huge!!!

I like it! I like to see the turbos and that's a great result, it also keeps the heat up and away from the motor...

Yes it is Tucker, and there probably wont be any numbers, I will probably take the kit off, sell it and the truck. I dont want the truck to loose another engine I cant afford it.

The Weaver and Cody team at A.R.T. are a great group. I would be confident that DW will come through. It is great to see someone of his caliber helping you out.

Stinker,
I hate to hear about the bullshit you have gone through, but it sounds like you are getting it all worked out. I hope everything goes well for you. Sounds like David and the guys at ART are doing a great job getting you going again. Could you elaborate on what went wrong with your situation. Maybe it could keep the next guy from making the same mistake(s). That's what this place is all about.

First off thanks Gary for your interest.

I was going to wait til I actually had the truck back in my possesion , but since David has it now I am not worried.

I took my truck to pro turbo to do a twin set up, and in the process they talked me into letting them do a single set up also. After the single was done I was told they would have it delivered by a roll back to ART for tuning. Pro turbo called me and said they DROVE it to ART. Now they did this with the turbo installed , 7lb spring, no boost controller, or tuner hooked up, just on a stock tune. When David recieved the truck it was smokking badly, he contacted pro turbo and they had no idea why. David installed the injectors, pump , and Vec II and went to dyno. He could not get any boost so he called pro turbo. They came up and changed a few things. To the dyno again. Frist pull netted over 10lbs of boost and David immedialty shut it down. Second pull 8lbs and he sut it down again. third pull and the engine let go, #3 went south. And I do belive a member of viper alley witnessed all this.
Got the call from David that night, no call from pro turbo for days. Finally got it worked out that David would help with labor and other things, Pro turbo would only go for pistons. Talked with David and we dicided on rods, pistons billet mains and a couple other things since we were there. David got the engine together and running.
Then it came time to have pro turbo install the twins. David took down the truck to them , and on my insistance told him to keep the single kit since pro turbo said that they could only pay half of the pistons about $700. pro turbo then showed up at ART the next day demanding the single kit , since they needed parts of it to finish my twins.(yeah Ok) I said no until they paid the piston part in full. The neglectfully did. They got the twins installed and David and Cody were not around and pro turbo insisted on the truck being removed from thier shop. So I had Cameron find a tow company to pick up the truck on a roll back and towedd to ART, which I had to pay for , pro turbo would not even help loook up a tow company for Cameron.
So david now has the truck and will start on the tune tommorow.
But the number 3 piston problem pro turbo insisted that it was Davids fault, over and over and over and over. So I had the piston checked. It was found that the piston failed from detonation and a lean condition. Then the person was told of how the truck was delivered to ART. And evidently with the truck driven to ART , about 80 or so highway miles, it caused the truck to run lean. I was told that with the turbos spinning even if it didnt make boost it added extra air into the system. And since it had stock components and tune that it would run extremely lean, hence probably the problem with it smoking so badly when it got to ART. I was also told by the person that delivered it to ART that the truck felt "peppy" leading me to believe it was not driven cautiously to ART. And I also had to threaten to sue pro turbo before they would actually finish the twin system so it could be returned to ART
That is it ,in so many words. The system looks ok , and I know David did nothing to cause anything. He and Cody have been so good to me, a stranger to them, it is absolutly unreal. I will be indebt to them forever, anything they ever need, I will definitly try to help with.
And I encourage anyone who is thinking of doing mods to thier viper powered vehicle , to at least take the time to call and talk to David, he is one down to earth, helluva guy, and I cant wait to see what my ride ends up with, if I know David, it will be great.

Throwing thousands at a kit, all to have a company not return calls, chip in half for a set of pistons, and then blame the one guy trying to save their build. Pretty fucking pathetic.

Wow, after reading this, ProTurbo is totally out of the question! Sorry about the experience Tucker.... thanks for posting though! I've also talked to David a few times on a kit and would recomend him to anyone. Solid, stand-up guy.

This is Stinkers truck, not mine. I just happened to be around when the mess started. Weaver is heads above this bullshit and needs a pat on the back for dealing with it.
