Stinker, I think what Rodney meant and what Heffner inferred is that you should not shop by price for your Viper tuner. Much like plastic surgery and sushi, the cheapest source for Viper turbo kits is often best avoided.

Did I express that properly gentlemen?

Ah yes, Iwent back and reread, and apoligize whole heartidly, you'll have to excuse me , I'm kinda in a defense mode ya know

I have definitly learned my lesson, after I got into the viper world with our QC and RC I learned alot, expecially from David. These things definitly aint no small block.

And I have never went the turbo route, always naturally asperated, our C-5 is puttin about 450+ to the ground and when I got the RC I want to get to the 1000hp mark, just for shits and giggles.

After I get it back from David I am going to enjoy it for aawhile then go with Stryker heads and a tad more with David and try to get there.

I have learned alot about turbos from David and may have to upgrade the wastegates and turbos later on. But for now I think David can wave his wand and create a great runnin beast.

Hell i dont know what he's up to , but he called today and asked if he could have the ashtray, and that was it? Dont know what the heck that was about!LOLOL

But Father I am a man of honor and truth and hold these things dear, so I honestly apologize for anything written that may offend you.

Thanks Kenny I appreciate you bringing that to my attention

The turbos can be changed for more power production, if you plan on going over 1200hp. The wastegates though are what we use on Outlaw 10.5 cars making 2500+ hp, if you change them you will be wasting more money. They sold you good parts, the situation though I don't know much about so I will steer clear from that. Good luck with your truck though...sounds like a soild setup.

JZ, for the sake of this thread, can you tell us if you have had a successful install of this same system? Since this is a prototype, I would highly doubt it. Pro Turbo does appear to use good parts, how they are put together is another problem worthy of an entrirely new thread. Throwing a turbo on a Supra or Civic is completely different than doing a successful install on a Viper. Bargain pricing for turbos on a Viper motor is simply fucking stupid. We are all hoping that this will educate others on the board to go to someone with experience doing forced induction on the Viper. You will spend much more in the long run dealing with what Stinker has.

Tucker we turbo charge four wheeler engines to 800+ci V12 engines and Quad compound 3000hp Diesels running 230lbs of boost. Turbos is something we pride ourselves in, as we provide turbos for alot of the turbo kit builders themselves. We also test and engineer turbos with the BIG 3 of the turbo world.

As for this kit, no I personally have not installed this kit. But you may want to take a look at what PTK kits power in the race world.

This was not a post in regard to your business. This thread is about pro turbo. I am very familiar with what they have done outside of the Viper world. I am simply stating that their track record with Vipers absolutely sucks. There are several disaster stories down here, this just being one of them.

Also, please note that NO ONE mentioned anything about their inability to put together a reliable kit until Dalton started pointing fingers, posting pictures of Stinkers truck on their site as a success, and then bashing the tuner that was trying to rescue their "PROTOTYPE" kit, all to be followed by having the nerve to try to pawn this piece of shit to someone else.

I personally could give a flying fuck if they create a great kit in the future. They have made it clear that they will fuck customers, use their so called build as advertisement for themselves, and then sell their special priced prototype kit for half of what they offered it to the person who blew their motor up with it. All the while never mentioning the problems that have been encountered with this very kit.

They may have done good things in the past, and may do good things in the future, but they royally fucked this deal in the present

JZ I know they deal alot with you, and I know they build nice kits, I think mine is going to work well after a few adjustments. And if you think the turbo smart wastegate is good I will take your word on it. Its just I see tial on everything, and everyones.
I am not saying thier kits stink, I will find that out soon enough, David should hit the dyno tommorrow. So Tucker call David tell him to put down the porn and get to work!

I just dont understand the way it was handled and I know you know of what happened, and respect you for staying away from it. But I went WAY WAY overboard helping Dalton, and trying to get these things sold and promoted them beyond belief on the srt forum, only to get "I cant pay but half now" man that hit me like a ton of bricks, he might as well stabbed me in the back. Not to mention that he didnt want to help at all, I understand evidently they cant even pay the light bill, but if things had been better I think I could have sold all the single kits he could have made.

Its sad really, plum sad

Hey Dalton Campbell, my name is Doug from Virginia and I ordered the turbo kit for my 92 Mustang from YOU on April 5, 2006. I've received everything except the turbo and the boost controller. I love how it took you less than two weeks to charge my card for the full amount of the turbo kit....yet it has been almost two years i've been waiting to receive my entire kit.

ps. The other guys on TurboMustangs.com would like their kits too: theturboforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=95839.0

Everyone on the nloc.net(lightning board) has had nothing but bad things to say about pro turbo kits. I do not think this will be the last complaint about them. You mess something up, do whatever it takes to make it right. Many companys forget about customer service and need to take an old school aproach and fix things.

You wanna call me out, please do. I have data logs that show 16 degrees of timing retard from stock, logs that show over 12 lbs of boost, dyno graphs that show air fuel, I can go on and on. And just to be clear, all the logging and dyno runs do save with DATE AND TIME stamps in case you want me to get really fucking specific.

You know how shit went down. You know I called you after the 1st dyno run and told you it was smoking its ass off and you told me to check the way you had the PCV system ran. You know you were too big of a pussy to call YOUR customer and tell him his shit got blown up. You were the one that said, and I FUCKING QUOTE " There is no need to mention the 12 lbs of boost" Ya, Tony is not 100% correct in some of the things he posted. Maybe tomorrow when I am not so damn mad I will straighten him out on a few points. You were so scared about all of this that you wouldn't even take MY phone calls much less the customer. When I do something for the first time, I am 100% responsible for it. Have I had to eat some shit because a vendor/sublet person fucked up, yep! In the REAL world it is this: You "prototyped" the kit, the truck blew up, you, as the builder should be 100% responsible for every person that touched the truck and every problem encountered. YOU chose the tuner, you are responsible for said tuner blowing the shit up as much as you would be resposible if your floor sweeper guy ran it into a pole. I ain't here to play he did/he said/I heard. Man up, you gotta problem, call me out on it, otherwise, shut you mouth about me and my business before you dig a hole you can't get out of.

This is an aged thread but illustrates why one should always have a turbo kit installed and tuned by whoever one buys if from. When something goes wrong, there is only one entity to have to deal with.
