2005 RAM SRT-10 Quad Cab Tranny reprogram

Does anyone know of a way to re-program the transmission in the qc srt-10? I need to do this because my truck is supercharged and the boost doesn't hit max until 5000RPM's and the truck shifts at 5500 R's. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you tried running it in the tow/haul mode? I know the shift points are different when that is selected. Should run it to higher RPM's but don't know if it's enough for you needs.

I tried but it still redlines at the same point (5500). I need it to redline at 6500 at least. Thats the problem with a centrifugal style blower, it doesnt build the power until higher revs.

Will one of the programable power chips address the shift points? But I ave to ask is the engine designed to run upto those levels of RPM's?

Yes, that would work perfectly but nobody makes one for the 05QC yet.

There are some things you can do in terms of changing the converter. But you are not going to be able to change the shift rpm's in the computer. The motor would not live long turning 6500 rpm with a stock bottom end.

Dude, you need turbos if you want that big truck to go fast.
