We are pleased to announce the newest addition to the RSI family...
She should arrive in a couple months at which point we will tear her down build her up to the neighborhood of 1500 horsepower with the use of two healthy turbos.
I will keep you guys posted as the situation develops!
Im assuming you did a good amount of R&D on this engine before slapping turbo's on?
Its been said that the 08 motor will not be near as boost freindly as the other generation vipers were.
You're making an assumption regarding the VVTi motor. You shouldn't. I had an IS300 with the VVT motor and many many tuners had turbos on the shelf for them. The tuning with be different but not nearly impossible. You will see.

Josh, I understand what your saying and I didn't mean to make it sound like it was impossible to turbo an 08.
I guess I was going by what seems to be traditional in the viper aftermarket world. When a new modle comes out first thing you usually see is a host of bolt ons. Then some killer heads and cam package. Then followed by big 1500hp turbo builds. I thought it was kinda skipping a few steps. However, Major props to RSI for going all out and skipping the 700 and 800hp set ups all together.
VVTi shouldn't be a problem. The only concern will be actual structural integrity VS the higher compression. We're tearing down and stroking the engine anyhow so its all good
This just means we'll have a lot more for the 08 a lot faster than expected
TT ACR with that type of power and ACRs' downforce, that will destroy damn near anything on a road course. Imagine that sucker at Willow, that'll pucker you right up at turn 8.

I know Paolo raced JID's car at the one mile event. They had to do some laps of a road course to show they were competent drivers. The instructor/evaluator guy said that the car pulled harder on the straights than his superbike. He left the car rather pale IIRC.
If I'm not mistaken. This is the car that will be equipped with a Motec and the techs employed by RSI are more than competent in the installation and tuning of such a build. Good Luck and keep us posted.
Interesting, looking forward to seeing more pics/results from this build. Just as long as it's not "TT GTSR build" then that crosses the line of blasphemy.

Power has nothing to do with corning or handling, the car will actually be a disaster if it's not set up properly to the boost its making for road racing. Like I said in many other posts about this subjects, all the GTSR's from 95 to 01 had between 650-750 HP and got the job done quite well in many classes including some LeMans domination. With turbo's that power is easy as pie to make, it's putting the power down and driver skill that wil make trhe car the thing to beat. Again time and actual testing/trial error will tell the whole story.
