Given that RSI is under new ownership, maybe it's time to stop harping on what you can't change and give the new owners a little room to make their own name from what they purchased?
Maybe he didn't know of or even the extent of some of the problems; but that doesn't mean he's on the hook to make it up to all of you.
Most of the people here are pretty savvy business people and if the tables were turned I don't see any of you handling this any differently.
I will then, out of courtesy to you, leave the subject alone as long as it doesn't affect any one else here.
Unfortunatly no, The guys at ART were going to take the gray car down there for me in their trailor. I spoke with Peak the other day and I guess circumstances have come up where ART will not have time to make the drive so they are flying. Things are so crazy with the business that there is no way I can make the drive myself. I was pretty bumbed out, I would have liked to seen what numbers it could run. I will definatly be at the next one in Houston.
I was thinking the same thing. Protect the new Vendors at any cost. We went from a private site to a commercial site with the worse possible vendor they could find.
Let their new reputation provide sufficient explanation and take it for what it is.
I don't understand why half you guys are even wasting your time complaining about them in the first place.
A: Some of you bitching cant afford one of their packages anyway (reliable or not)
B: Everyone has their "favorites" when it comes to performance shops. People are going to use who they are going to use, bad reputation or not
This is along the same lines as everyone complaining about Hennessey and what a crook he is.
- Its clear none of you guys are familiar with the new facility he is building..
(sarcasm on)
The "internet drama" seemed to have really affected his company's revenue ....
Conclusion:
Everyone gets it, you few hate RSI. Who gives a fuck.

i couldn't agree more with this statement. it's obvious that RSI has had more satisfied customers then people who've had a bad experience.
The reason you aren't recieving a straight answer is because you aren't asking a straight question. A few posts ago it was "before it left the shop" now its "before it left houston". We could put that another way like "after the customer disappeared with it for a few hours" or "after it made over a hundred pulls on a dyno in the middle of Texas heat because" just ask Jason Calzada.
Does it really matter? The fact of the matter is the poor guys car burned down due to a modification that RSI was hired to perform. Somone apparently dropped the ball when running the fuel system.
The fact of the matter is that there isn't anyone here that built those cars. I won't go so far as to speculate why they caught fire but it must suffice to say that the previous company did some things that none of us agree with.
We have gone to great lengths to improve products and customer service well beyond simply satisfactory levels. There are a lot of great things on the horizon.
RSI's survival is directly related to customer relations and product quality. I assure you no one takes this more seriously than me.
