They will happily mount a 19" tire on your 18" CCW wheel but if (when) it falls off and kills you, its YOUR fault for not maintaining it properly and not telling them that you intended to drive on it.

For the record here folks. Let me explain just one of the many reasons I chose to send my Viper to Kevin at Underground. Forget the fact he currently holds every single record when it comes to making this car go fast. Forget how nice the quality of the build when you see the pleased customers posting photos. Forget even the fact that I never read a single post of how a customer didn't get everything they asked for with anything less then 100% satisfaction. Kevin is a reputation FREAK! He believes that the product he kicks out of his shop is a reflection of his business and his reputation as a reputable tuner. Simply put, if you are not satisfied with any aspect of what he does, he will make it right. He cares more about that them anything/anyone I ever met that wrenches on cars.
Kevin has roughly 30 Vipers inside his shop RIGHT NOW!!! There is a reason for it, believe that. The guys at Underground know what they are doing and are doing it on Vipers at record numbers. If you got the means and want to have a car that will provide great performance with a great group of guys WILLING to stand behind the work YOU PAID FOR, UGR is the choice. I have no concerns that if anything occurs with my car that shouldn't have. Kevin would absolutely take care of me.

Without any request to do so, but because of our standard policy of keeping the smack to the AG forum; I'm cleaning up this thread.

If you have a question for RSI or want to make comments, thats fine - but just like the Vendor Discussions area this is not a place for Smack or for other than 1st person customer perspectives.

Don't get all bent out of shape; the same policies we've had forever in the Vendor forum apply to the sponsor forums; that's all.

I think Kansas' question on warranty is not Smack, and their answer about no warranty is relevant to a tuner decision.

I was talking about the other 8 or so posts; not the questions about warranties, etc.

Yes, but enforcement has always been arbitrary at best. It gives the appearance this is more about not pissing off sponsors who just dropped some c-notes here, despite questions about the quality of work. In the spirit of open exchange, why not simply move the thread to AG and let it play out??

So as to avoid any confusion, I will clarify what I meant when I said "We do not offer warranty on performance builds for a reason." My statement was not clear and I apologize for not detailing it out more. My fault for being in a hurry and trying to a hundred things at once.

Here is what we do not do:
We do not offer a 100% no-questions-asked blanket warranty on our builds. We do not tell a customer he can go out and run his car at 220mph at redline until it blows up and bring it back and we'll replace $50,000 worth of stuff at our expense. If you know of a place that does that please inform me.

Here is what we do include with every build:
A warranty for all of the work done, whether it be a TT kit, supercharger, exhaust, built motor, brakes, etc. A lot of times the warranty is that of the manufacturer, for example if you want Brembo brakes installed. If there is a defect in the part used, you are covered 100% under the warranty of that part.

Other times the warranty is ours, for example our TT kit or motor. Should your Racing Solutions part fail within 1 year, we will get your Viper (or that specific part where applicable) back here and determine the reason for failure. If there is a defect in our workmanship, you are covered 100% for both the part(s) effected and our labor to replace it.
I covered this in post #8 when I stated "I just wanted you guys to know that I take this very seriously and will do the right thing, whatever the cost, if we are at fault." However, again, I failed to detail it enough what I meant, sorry guys.

Hopefully this clears up our warranty details and process for any work done here at the Racing Solutions. If anyone has any questions about this or you feel I need to explain something in greater detail, please let me know.

Thanks!

Doug

Sorry for any confusion Mike, but I never said there is a 100% chance the customer is at fault. I hope my last post above clears that up and I apologize for the lack of detail in my post that led you to draw the above quoted conclusion.

Sorry sir, that is a type-o. CCW currently offers them only in 19x12. That is the only 19" size and they do not offer a 20" at all for the C14. They will be offering a complete set of 19" next year when they purchase their next machine needed to make this wheel in more height/size combinations.

Our website was started over from scratch in July, and we are working to add literally thousands of parts as quickly as possible. We offer MANY brands and items not yet listed on the site.

I can not possibly list every brand here, but just as an example we are direct and authorized dealers of HRE, CCW, KW Suspension, JE/Carrillo, Crower, Fluidyne, Brembo, StopTech, Sparco, Nitrous Express, AEM, ACT Clutches, RPS Clutches, Spec Clutch, and literally dozens more.

If you have any questions about any product for your Viper please email me or post it in its own thread here or give us a call.

Thanks sir,

Doug

Enforcement is arbitrary only in that I don't read every single post made on this site - I or the other mods can only act when someone either brings it to our attention or we happen to read it on our own.

Did someone bring it to your attention? You had or have a financial interest in the site. There may be a performance clause in the sale. It doesn't look good when the moderator in that situation starts editing the new revenue producing forum.

Doug at RSI, you might not need the "sir" around here.

I'm not aware of any vital information that he has removed at this time. I just wanted to be clear about a couple things. 1. where we stand on our warranty situations in regards to past and present builds. 2. That I welcome all debate, especially questions regarding subjects that may need to be addressed no matter how touchy or difficult they may seem.

A huge part of why we are here is not to simply promote, the shop is full of vipers and the waiting list is growing, its to be involved the community on a much greater scale to better suite your needs as a Viper enthusiast collective.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that as sales manager all builds are supervised by me and the technical details are covered by my technicians and shop manager. This means that if a customer is unclear or dissatisfied that I did something wrong and i don't like being wrong so I go above and beyond to cover the customer's bases. I don't care if its a set of floor mats from the online store, if a customer is upset I will deal with it ASAP because that is how I would like to be treated. Its like the guy from the middle east that wanted a certain gear ratio in his SRT10. Okay, we don't do that normally but I found a way to get the job done because it put a smile on his face. I'd rather make less money and make people happier than make more and have them hacked off at one or two points that were neglected on their order (especially when its a $45K twin turbo build).

Questions or concerns can be directed to this forum or the contact info in my sig. I am more than happy an field any questions for anybody.

I guess its just a force of habit thing. Ever watch "an evening with Kevin Smith" or the sequel "evening harder". Its kind of like that. Well, that or the whole I'm a homegrown Texan thing

Ownership of RSI has changed hands since my build... I feel compelled however to say a few things:

1. My RSI TT car was a BEAST and is still running strong. The new owner LOVES it and drives it often.

2. You guys handled the typical ViperAlley mudslinging with class, kudo's to you all and I wish you all the best of luck! Dusty is a great guy and MVP is an amazing company, I'm sure RSI will follow that same formula for success.

How about a Blue and White GTS TT build of yours that never left you state without burning to the ground. Are you going to cover that?
