I have no clue what you are alluding to, as far as i know there is no greater conspiracy around here. Maxx, i may not agree with you all the time (the mexican girl with the transplant foulup is one example) but your participation is clearly one of the reasons why life in the alley is enjoyable.
Eric gives some good advice above i think it's worth 24 hours of your time before you make a final decision.
I dont think Maxx is commenting on this process so much as on some of the personalities involved.
But even though our process is democratic, I still accept blame/responsibility for instigating BADVENOM's banning and yet Maxx says he has no problem with me. As far as I know, Maxx and I have never had any conflicts. On the contrary, I enjoy having him around. So what is the personality issue here?
Does anyone here know anything about him? Is the guy a criminal? Is he employed? Does he own a sports car? Is he a trust fund punk?
It seems somewhat obvious that he is not what I would call a professional. Perhaps he is totally different in the real world but I don't think so. Does the thugary reflect his normal behavior?
Eric, there are times that you will jump down peoples throat without much provocation, and then get upset with peoples rebelious attempts. Banning seems so very permenant.

Seems to me that there could be degrees of banning. First offense - 2 weeks, Second offense 30 days, Third offense is a LIfetime ban. But, hey, I wouldnt want to be the one to suggest "cooling off periods", lol!
In this particular case, though; Tony was given plenty of chances to drop the "persona" he admopted for this board. He chose not to and now its up to the members.

I like the "cooling off" period policy for everyone. We just need to determine how long it should be.
I made a post that nobody responded to. I said I could create some code that would put a person into "Private Moderation" - meaning their posts would have to be approved by a moderator for a period of time. Anything they posted would be marked for approval by any of the mods - before anyone else could see the message.
I thought it was a good solution, but it didnt get any feedback. (I think people mostly made fun of my avatar).
