Newbie from texas!

hello everyone! thought i would introduce myself, just purchased a 2010 coupe with the aero package (4700 miles). absolutley love this car! i only spent a couple of days with it before i had to go back to work for 28 days (i'm a supply boat captain and work the gulf of mexico) i'm not new to the v-10,just sold my ram srt-10 and also had a ram 2500 4x4 with the iron v-10 (supercharged).i have a lot to learn about the car and will be asking a lot of questions about her! this car looks to be set up to track (road course). after market items all installed by DC performance:

roll bar
halon fire supression system (nozzles in cab and engine comp.)
racing harnesses
catch can
high temp motul fluids
some custom ducting around the radiator

haven't gotten underneath the car to see the exhaust set up or suspension yet (has oem exhaust manifolds)

anyone know the previous owner (scott penington) or seen the car on the web?

questions i had:
is the hood fiberglass or carbon fiber
other body panels aluminum?
it also has chrome wheels (they are blemish free) were they an option?,i have never seen chrome oem wheels on a viper
more questions to come!

Stock hood is a composite material and glass IIRC. Much heavier than the CF Gen IV hoods you can buy from say Seibon.

Most body panels are a composite. The side sills are aluminum.

Those 6 spokes are polished aluminum from the factory.

When you get to taking those side sills off, I would suggest doing this to make it MUCH easier and less time consuming. You will need to get a 10mm deep socket in there.

I would also suggest getting rid of the stock "sheet metal" screws on the bottom edge of the side sill. Those things strip out, fall out, just general shitty design overall. Drill holes and put rivnuts back in. Give you a crimped in threaded surface to screw into.

$22 for the SureBonder 8150. Picked up the 1/4-20 hardware and grabbed some washers, just in case....This has worked great on my last two Vipers.

Yes those are! Someone had those dipped. I have owned three or four sets of those 6 spokes and all were polished aluminum from the factory. Chrysler never sold a chrome set.

Sweet car and welcome..

Give Dan Cragin a call if you have any questions on the car.. He's the best there is when it comes to Vipers, and customer service.. I had him ( DC Performance) do a head cam setup with all the bolton goodies on my 97 GTS, and man that car rips!
