I understand, I just felt it came across more like you were saying they were not worth it because of what they did not have compared to the big money heads. They do have some money into them and some great things coming with them in the price. I really do appreciate the help and feedback, they do need to go.
So far it seems to be working great. I've picked up a bit more vacuum, idle is better, etcetera. I'm still inthe process of tuning it but so far it think it has helped. The problem is that I did a few other things as well at the same time...switched from the VEC to the SCT, new hi power coils and plugs with a bigger gap, and the Weaver overdrive pulley. So my improvements could be attributed to one or all of the above. Regardless, the manifold needed the additional plenum volume just from an engineering perspective. I wouldn't be scared of doing it. The biggest issue is controling warpage during the welding process. my fabricator was very worried about that. I did get a little warpage, but when I bolted it to the manifold, it all came out and bolted up just fine. I guess there is enough flex in the manifold that the intake bolts take it all out when bolted up.
I was wondering if you had positive results with the modification of your roe manifold. I've been waiting for you to update your last post about it, but haven't seen anything since your last post.
