Need to rent a manual transmission car.

Can't find one these days as Hertz's idea of manual trans is tiptronic and otherwise the answer is a resounding no. Tried i-go cars and zip cars rental services but nothing. Anyone got any ideas where to rent a manual transmission car? Any help is good help.

forgot to add: primary purpose is to teach family how to drive manual.

Thanks,

Jay K.

Go find you a cheap beater honda or toyota in the newspaper. It will take more than a few days to teach them where they can actually drive one well. Then you can sell it or keep it around for an extra vehicle. I bet you can find a geo or saturn for 1000 to 1500. Infact, I bet you could find one that needs a good cleaning and wax job, teach your family, clean it up, and make 500 to 1000 on the deal.

Look at local small car rental agency's.

There are several in my area that rent manual trans cars, no doubt there will be some by you as well.

Another option is what I did when turned 16, no one in my family drove stick or cared to. So my solution was just to hire a driving instructor specifically for such a task. The guys car was special, modified to have pedals on boths sides of the car had me driving stick in 30 min.

Send them down to see Chuck. Chuck loves to teach people to drive a manual transmission. If they are young and female he also offers an alternative payment plan. If Asian, he may even pay their plane fare.

Everything about you screams spammer.

But the funny thing is... I called Hertz.

They DO NOT rent out everyday Manual Transmission cars anymore.

Spambot FIAL?
