This is getting better by the minute. I called the dealer day before yesterday to find out what was going on with my truck, because right now I am driving a rental car (and I will never say just what kind of POS I am driving) but I want OUT of it!! So I call them and say, "So you are still expecting the truck delivered by Monday, the 10th?" He says to me, "On the 10th Laura, who ever told you that?" Now I want to just about scream because HE was the one who told me the 10th!! I said, "You told me that date." He goes on to deny that he ever gave me such a date, and that maybe the truck would be built by this friday, but it would be at least 10 days after that, at the earliest, that I may see it grrrrrrrr!!!!!
So here I am, truckless, with this rental
Sorry, just venting!

Well I hope it's atleast not a Neon Laura!!

nope....WORSE!!

They make a car WORSE than a Neon??

A PT Cruiser?

worse than a neon?? a vette?

A Vette with cupholders....

hehehe!! Nope, believe it or not, it is even worse then that. But I do have to admit, the POS handles decent in the snow! Listen, the dealer is picking up the rental cost, so I was kind of at their mercy.....yet again
can't be as bad as a buddy of mine dropped his 2002 ALMS Audi TT off for repair work and got an old smelly chevy lumina!
No, it is not a Hyundai. The car is the same as the 6th rock from the Sun One of my co-workers saw me getting out of that car, and he just had a great time with that fact for the rest of the day. He told me he couldn't believe his eyes, and never thought he would see the day (he knows how I feel about my means of "transportation" hehehe!!). He said was going to take a picture of me in this "hotrod" and post it on one of my "car sites" hehehe!! My truck is suppose to be in TODAY!!!! Yippee!!!...we shall see!!
Grrrrr! Just shoot me! Now the truck is in New Jersey? A couple of days ago they told me it was upstate New York, that it had been on a train, and was off the train upstate. So now they have me talking to this super nice older gentleman at the dealer, who is "tracking" it for me. He is so sweet that I can't even think to get angry at him although I am more than a bit fed up Now it is in New Jersey?, and they are waiting transport by carrier to New York. It was in New York, then sent to Jersey...I don't get it? They are telling me I have a 50/50 chance I will get it by the weekend. I am ready to just go to Jersey and get it myself
Now 15 days later than expected and I am still waiting grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
I told the dealer that I'll just go get it myself, it is only in New Jersey, supposedly on a car carrier????? New Jersey, his response was the union wouldn't like that. I can't take this rental anymore! Sorry, just venting hehehe!!
I posted this problem on the VCA board, because believe it or not, the saga with this truck goes on and on, and gets worse by the day. If you care to provide me with some support over there, with a response in that thread (in the Snake Pit), it would be greatly appreciated.
You can't just void the contract? That should get the sales manager to go through some hoops. It sounds to me that you are just hearing excuses. I doubt your truck even is where they say it is. It's probably not even delivered from the factory and the dealer is just buying time because they screwed up somehow.
