New Dyno numbers

I know that there is not a lot of love for corvettes on this site, but I do also own a supercharged C5 ZO6. I recently swapped out the pulley and added meth injection. I am seeing a steady 8psi, with 0 knock and 23 degrees of timing.

Stock LS6 engine, just has headers, exhaust, BAP, larger injectors, etc. Does have built tranny, rear end, and Exedy twin disk clutch.

I was happy with the numbers considering it is only 347 C.I.

Here is the car..

Yes, we tapped the reservoir, works great and holds exactly a gallon of water/meth.

Your going to tell me that your car with only 8lbs on a stock motor and is making 660rwhp? I dont think so. That means that your 8lbs is adding an extra 300rwhp and I just find that hard to believe. Im also a corvette owner so no hating here. I would redyno the car at a different shop.

LOL. It made 540 / 498 with 5-6 psi. and 0 meth. This kit was from A&A corvette in CA, they did the install and tune. It was dynoed in CA, then I bought the car from the original owner, shipped it up to CO. I did a base line dyno 3 weeks ago, it still made 533 / 492 on the same dyno where these pulls were done and running very rich (11.0) A/F ratio.

The dyno shop here is very well known, he has been around for 15+ years..

Although, it is probably closer to 9psi versus 8 when I try and look at the gauge. But still, they are legit. So yes, with 8-9 PSI on the LS6 block it made that much.

I still dont believe it. Are these rwhp #"s ? If so your saying that a 346" motor makes more power then a 488" motor with the same boost levels. Not happening. Now I would believe that your making those #'s with a cam, heads & intake set-up which it sounds like your car has since you did buy it used. If I was a betting man, which I am, I would lay down any amount of money that there is no way that a stock c5 z will lay down 660rwhp on only 8lbs. Im not trying to bash you because like I said before Im also a corvette owner and I love them but those #'s arent happening on a stock motor and only 8lbs.

I would have to agree. A stock Z06 LS7 with APS twin turbo barely will lay down those numbers.

Those numbers are very possible, the LS engine family is very efficient. Unlike the Viper powerplant. The 02 and up LS6 heads flow better than the average port job on an LS1 head and the cam is very suited to forced induction. I owned a few C5's including an 02 Z06 prior to the GTS and they were all modded. Very easy motor to get insane power numbers from.

Exactly. My car with 5-6 psi, with headers, hi flow cats and exhaust made 540/492. So add 3 psi, new tune and meth gave me +120 hp. not unheard of and there is several cars around here with similar mods and same if not more power.

Stock heads, cam, and C.R. ratio, Which is 10.5:1 if I remember correctly.

I agree. My tuner said we could even get more with a smaller pulley, (3.7) out of my P1. I wanted to stay somewhat conservative. We were shooting for 620 RWHP.. We hit 625/ 545 w/o the meth and 22 degrees of timing. The meth and a few more degrees netted me the final numbers, still with 0 knock and very cool IAT's.

This will be enough for now..

Yea, I know where you're at. Surprised you did not bust out the map and arrows pinpointing your location.
