I think the tips look great and are an original idea having them stacked vertically in addition to their aero function. VERY COOL...KUDOS to LEXUS!!! The exhaust pipes are quad and end about 1.5 inches from connecting with the tips. The mounting of the tips are surrounded by an aluminum mesh screen. The quad tips are designed as exhaust and aero diffusers that reduce lift at high speeds. This was done to lessen the requirement for a larger rear spoiler on the car. Borla is working on a catback for the F now and they also are NOT going to have it connect to the quad tip diffusers. Other manufacturers have this design feature as indicated in the links below:
As far as performance goes, I can live with it...shifts in .1 sec., 0-60 4.4 sec., 1/4 mile 12.8 @ 113.3 MPH, top speed 170 MPH(electronically limited), lateral accel. .91g, slalom speed 71.2 MPH(fastest 4-door), braking 60-0 120 ft., fuel economy 16/23. Price...a steal. Too bad you can't afford one. CORRECTION: Actually, I'm glad that a classless asshole like you will not be driving an IS F.
says the guy who added a ugly bumper and wing to a GTS for "aero"
The IS F will outperform any SRT 8 in any measurement. So keep your SRT 8 and watch my quad tips and Lexus marque as they leave you behind.

If the SRT8 had been included in the "Executive Adrenalators" comparison [C/D, November 2004], it would have been less expensive and offered more sheetmetal and its acceleration would have been at the top of the heap. The SRT8's ungoverned top speed of 173 mph also would have placed it on top and is especially startling when you consider the block-like drag coefficient of 0.36 and the garage-door-sized frontal area of 25.8 square feet. Better yet, the SRT8 outpaces the ungoverned CTS-V by 12 mph and all AMG products (which are governed at 155 mph) by 18 mph. Academic for sure, but if you paid more for those other cars, you'd definitely want the bragging rights.
A cat back exhaust and cold air intake (50 hp) would have this car beating you up for your lunch money, without a tune.
What's the matter besides the fact that you are a racist? Can't you handle a global economy? BTW, you may want to educate yourself to the fact that we are the greatest debtor nation in human history and without Japan and the rest of the world buying our worthless treasuries we would already be in a DEPRESSION instead of just getting started. I'll buy a Lexus any day over an American POS sedan. Go wave your flag and buy GM stock at it's current price from 55 years ago. Can't believe that you're stupid enough to fall for the elitist patriotic propaganda garbage. Forget about hitting 16K posts here and spend some time and get an education.
American POS sedan? Ill take a new 550hp CTS-V over that overpriced toyota of yours anyday.
First of all, the CTS-V is ugly. Second, it has to have a blower to make power. Third, the quality sucks because it's made by GM. Forth, the quality sucks. Fifth, the quality sucks. Sixth, the quality sucks...
Ehhhh my biz partner has an IS350 for spare car, and and I thought the new CTS had a nicer interior and drove better. Can't wait to get rid of it, too cramped and just bored with it, but he picked it up on a really cheap lease last year.

Hey if you dont like the way the CTS-V looks is must be good looking cause both your cars look like ass.
Ahhh...the topic here is a Lexus IS F not an IS 350. Two totally different cars. If you're too cramped in an IS 350 you should definitely get rid of your Viper. What's next a trunk space comparison? How about glove compartment space? How about ash tray size?
Why yes smart one, biz partner = me he's the one who owns it and doesn't like it
But yes, for a sedan it is cramped , but don't worry, I think the same of the 3 series and A4
