I'm not ashamed to admit, I don't care. If you are having a hard time paying for your ghorrayeba, sell your Viper or eat it.
But that inflation is likely caused by pegging their currency to the dollar. If they sever it, that won't exactly help us. What if they started pricing oil in Euros?
I saw something on the news a few weeks back about us discovering we have more oil HERE then they do over THERE. Man I hope to the good Lord thats true and that we actually start using it. The report stated that if it was taken into effect, gas would drop by over a 1.00 in the first month and continue to it's back in the 2.00 price range.
It sounds like the world is in equalibrium. Your goverment is screwing you, our government is screwing us. Together they have figured out a way to screw everybody worldwide.
I say we let the rest of the world sell to the rest of the world. And we only sell our newly tapped (assuming we tap them) reserves to ourselves. That way the Middle East can supply China and India's growing thurst for oil. And as far as the theory of using theirs until it runs out and then use ours....BAD IDEA. If the whole world is out of oil, and we are sitting on massive reserves, and the rest of the world wants our oils....what's going to happen!!!?

The problem with that is that we have barely scratched the surface of the worlds oil supply. The current supply will last a lot more then 100 years. And if we keep exploring and drilling oil will last for hundreds of years. Within the next hundred years I see an alternitive energy source emerging that will start to replace oil.
And YES to the other person, we do have more oil in North America then all of the Middle East combined. So tell the Liberals to quit complaining and lets start drilling and building more refineries.
