Like it's been said a couple times in here ( or at least alluded to ) - sorry about his luck, but he wasn't standing where he should have been. If he wanted to stand there - he needed to have his head on a swivel and at least pay attention.
Racing pit areas are dangerous places, and being in such places requires full attentiveness. It's even worse in the "hot pits" - where this guy was hit. It's one thing to run someone over in a garage or paddock, but I don't feel bad at all for the guy being hit in the hot pits. He wasn't paying attention, plain and simple.
