ZR1 officially 638 HP

Corvette ZR1 rated at 638 hp - AutoWeek Magazine

604 torque.

I think I would take a modded Z06 with an MTI Stage II or III package over this (if I had to stay with a vette).

Yeah, I was sorta wondering what it looked like from his perspective. Probably one of those proving grounds everyone uses at once. I was to Dana's proving grounds and they had all sorts of things running at once. They were all assigned a different lane...faster at the top if I remember.

What in the Hell is this World coming too?

-$3.50 a gallon for gas
-$3.50 for Milk

And $100,000 for a Vette!

In the last 10 years the Vette has gone from mid $40's loaded, to $100,000.00!

For a Corvette! No thanks!

There are fox body mustangs that will outrun you both. Talk stock vs stock or modded vs modded otherwise, to me at least, it just means nothing.

205+ is impressive....even for a over priced C6!!! Tip for anyone wanting to spend over $100,000. Go buy a C6 and throw a mild cam, full exhaust, and a D1SC Procharger kit with 8 rib and 4.25 inch pulley.

New C6+ $45000(you can get em for less but I'm trying to be fair)
Mild cam and full exhaust + $4000(LG,Lingenfelter,ECS,21 Century,Dallas Performance,etc)
D1SC kit with 8 rib $6000 + $1500 for install and $500 for tune
19 inch HRE's with rubber+ $6000
Stoptech Big brake Kit + $5000 installed
Spec 3+ clutch+ $1000 installed
AF,boost gauge with pillar mount+ $1000

you should dyno between 550-670rwhp(depending on tune and boost)

That would put you around 70k for a decked out C6 that would kill any ZR1 GM could put on the road. Take the other 30-50k and buy your wife a purse.

Like I said before. What is all the hype about. There are bigger fish to fry. Just like lambo and ferrari owners don't/shouldn't care what Viper guys do, Viper guys shouldn't care what corvette comes out with. Personally, I do no consider the corvette competition. Just like the mustang isn't competition. Oh no! An 03 cobra with a kenne bell blower and some other shit can be a stock viper. I don't care. Still another mustang. Just like a viper beating a lambo or a ferrari. Doesn't matter. The only advantage in the viper scenario is at least it is an exotic. Not only is the vette not competition but it is a nobody car.

I just don't understand all of the hype. Tuner cars have become so populized and well-known than I cannot relate to why people care so much about the ZR1. Vettes that thrash the ZR1 have been on the covers of magazines for years. Ok, so it comes with a warranty. That is the only valid argument I see.

A little off subject, but whomever talks trash about the viper's interior and quality best not drive a vette. A guy at work just got a C6 and this is the first time I really sat in one, looked around, and drove it. Sorry, but the vettes interior is pure crap. Cheap molded plastic, etc. The C5 interior blows the C6 interior away. I was shocked out how crappy and cheap it was.

.
The local hangout for the muscle cars in Minneapolis was downtown near the the U of M campus at a place called Porky's and 99% of the cars there are some sort of modded mustang or cobra and of course everysingle one of those dumb rednecks wanted to show ya what they had. Last time I was there a bunch of them followed me as I left. One cobra was on my ass on the highway but he mysteriously didn't try to hang on the on ramp for whatever reason.

I haven't really payed much attention to the c6 interior. My c5's interior was decent, but the leather and such felt cheap to me compared to the GTS not that the Viper interior is anything great
