I would imagine if it encountered an iceberg, the planet may have farther reaching problems than a nuclear event. Everyone cites the Titanic example when someone says a meltdown cannot happen. However, the claiming of unsinkable was all marketing. None of the true engineers on the project claimed anything of the sort. The only thing that can cause an event on the Ap1000 would be a sudden Magnitude 10 earthquake or a massive air strike. Left to its own devices, it is passively safeguarded by the laws of nature. This is first reactor where the laws of physics dictate the operation and safety rather than a bunch of electronics.

but natures a bitch and changes the rules when she like.
This is what makes AP1000 fundamentally different...I can't melt down. Try as you will, you can't make it melt down. Every previous reactor was not really fundamentally safe, it was just engineered with so many safety systems as to make it safe. Still, every nuclear accident worth mentioning has resulted because people disabled safety systems. In the AP1000, all of the major safety systems are passive, not electronic. You cannot disable them.
Are there any dyno numbers from the trucks that were there and survived?
Iiiinteresting. I'm a lurker, but the EE degree in power brings me out for this one. Does it run on HFO? Have the economics of petroleum based power generation driven the prices of piston barges down to scrap levels, or do you have a living plan for it?
Yea, she runs on HFO.
Big demand for barge mounted power plants as many coutries are suffering extended daily brown outs.
