No air condition, no sound insulation etc, almost 300lbs lighter then the V8 Vantage even with the big V12 up front. Like Astons version of the Viper, just pure and raw. Astons 12 has an amazing sound, imagine the feel and sound in this car with it uncorked.

Newer Astons are reliable, partner in a firm next to my old office, he daily drove his DB9 for 3 years straight. 6 speed manual as well, which is very rare, he was a cockly little prick though.

They did stick a pos trans in the Vanquish, why they didn't give it the DB9 trans not sure (auto/F1, not the true 6 speed man). The trans was just not well matched, made smg seem smooth as ice. I like the Vantage but its underpowered compared to its competition, but it is sharp and sexy looking. Just needs more power in stock form. I never cared for the Vanquish, DB9 was the new start for Aston, right before the Vanquish they had rebadged Jag XK with V12 or s/c 6 in the older model.

Ehhh? They seem pretty reliable to me. A friend of mine has a few, one which Aston Martin said has the most miles of any DB9 in the country, and I can't think of any major problems he has had.

Yeah, that was the older Vanquish. The newer cars seem to be a lot better off. There were a few vanquishes at california speedway when we had our track day a couple weeks ago. They sure are sweet looking cars.

There are cars from every make that has problems. My buddies GTS is in the shop more than any car I have ever seen. It only takes one lemon to give a bad rep. for all the others.
