I had a moment like that, but I was on the street not the track.
A friend of mine had a moment like that too in his base C6. Came across the highway, gave it too much gas and ended up doing a 720 in the middle of the highway. Thankfully he didn't get hurt, but he did break the radiator support underneath the car. And that was with TC and "Active Handling" on.
