debating on the c6 z06 or the 06 and up viper any suggestions?
hey every1 looking into getting a viper, but i cant help the power weight ratio of the vette i like to go fast as i have an 03 cobra that make just under 1000hp whipple/NOS and does it comfortably, i know in the past vipers seemed to get a lil hot inside if they were taken on long road rips, has that changed and overall has any experienced the difference between the the c6 z06 vs the 06 and up viper? my goal would be twin turbos but first thing off the bat for either car would to have NOS on it. basically what im looking for is are the cars reliable gas wise, long road trips etc.
The very fact you combine C6 Z06, 06 Viper, twin turbos, Cobra, whipple, NOS, long trips and gas mileage all in the same post lead me to believe you are one of the less intelligent trolls to make their way over from SVT Performance.
I would have suggested starting slow in your quest to infiltrate the lower (and I mean lower) ranks of this board before moving on to combining multiple controversial trolling posts all in one thread.
i hate svtperformance.... a bunch of freakin clowns over there... all im asking for is for some details as i have a buyer in orlando who is intrested in my car for top dollar and ive always liked vipers, but i went for a ride in his c6 z06 and took it for a spin and really put a grin on my face, so im looking for flaws between either car.

Buy an '06 Viper for the looks, it's caliber of performance is on par with the Z06 and IMO it's a hell of a lot nicer. The ZR1 will be a beast.....but the '08 Viper is, again, a Viper.
can the viper take a beating on a stock motor, i dont look at my cars in the garage i drive my cars and they look good doing it the z from what seeing can take 150 shot of nos and run low 10s on drag radials thats what im looking for imo.

actually i went and drove both cars today i like the viper now im awaiting to see if the guy who was intrested in the cobra was for real, anyhow i have a paxton novi 2000 sitting in my garage so ima throw it on, does any1 have an expereine with the paxton i did a search, but nothing useful, i was wondering how much boost a viper could take stock or how much NOS could the viper take stock?

No one has experience with a Paxton on their Viper...Your going to be the first good luck let us know how it goes....
Safely a viper motor will take around a 400hp shot 0n 91 0ctane. You start putting more than that and it will blow. Also the you can take the limiter off and wring it up to 8000 rpm and it sings like a bird. Try it and let us know your times!

Or you could just skip the middle man and burn a hole in each piston individually with a cutting torch. Its way less fun but at least the block will be okay
so im guessing this is how you guys treat new viper owners? Cobra buyer was for real im taking a look at an 06 that was at a local dealer tomorow, again does any1 know the compression ratio of the 06's or what they can take stock nos or boost wise?
