Interesting. They even paint the inside of the door panels.

I'm sure the driver was injured pretty bad on that one, with that kind of impact on the door you know his head hit pretty good. I backed my 02 Z06 into a wall at a drift event and even with a helmet on I was suprised at how hard my head banged against the inside of the car.

Do the impact bars look bent or deformed to you? I meant that statement from a "As far as a wrecked car goes, this one is desireable." standpoint. Yes, it took a lick, but the car didn't wrap around what it hit; all the fiberglass took the brunt of the hit.

Here is pic of what looks to be the same car. It has the same date on the dealer tag. Not much of a chance that 2 Green ones being sold on the same day in Houston. I posted the other pictures on another forum and somebody had spotted the car in the pic below earlier in the month and snapped the pic.

Im sad to say thats my baby... Ive got a seperated schoulder and broke my clavical in three places. I was leaving Jaspers around 11:30 pm came over the overpass on woodlands parkway when something (cant remember what) stoped in the middle of the road, i swerved but the back tires cought a lip in the road where the overpass connected to the new pavement. The ass end of the car just came around and the next thing i knew i was slamed into the tree. Crawled out the passenger side and thats all she wrote.... I was doing about 45-50mph. typed all that with one hand so sorry for the poor description but the pics say the rest. Looking for that matt black ACR now...

Saw pictures of your car on the autobahn cruise.

Glad to see that you are doing well. I wish you a speedy recovery. I just moved to Houston in September and have to say that many of the roads around here suck.

The new cars are, I believe, 11:1 compression ratio compared to 9.5:1 in the old. That gives 15% more engine braking when you lift the throttle sharply. Add in the lighter touch needed for the fly by wire throttle and there was good reasons I was scared on the first day on the track by the car for the first time in years.

Sorry you and your car got hurt.
