2.4 kenne bell cobra @ 21psi video (my old vid I just found)
go to 3:10 in the video. Car sounded NASTY with those cams and pulled hard as hell. This vid was not using any nitrous. It put down 660rwhp without n20 and 735hp-855tq with n20... The passenger with the camera had a mystic 04 cobra with 100 shot n20 and he was blown away at how fast the car was OFF the bottle.
I didn't say you didn't do anything "fun".
I'm saying, three years later, that car isn't really very impressive. Hell, I made 627 rwhp on a little 2.3 and a bone stock longblock. On a base tune, my new setup made 710 rwhp and is at JDM now and we're looking for mid-700's on boost only.
As far as I know that car never even made it to the track with the blower or the turbo on it.
S.
it did, it went 11.4@128 with a 1.99 60' on 18" street tires with a bad clutch... hot day with bad da. It was more of a highway street raced car than a track whore. Plus, being a vert, I had a rough time at the tracks with them letting me run with no bar.
It went 11.7@118 with just 453rwhp-485tq SAE with a good clutch and sticky tire... the car got down and would hang with the best of them. The only car I lost to ON THE STREET, was a TT Viper with a built motor making 900rwhp on pump. Even then, when I was on the bottle and driving it well (with good bottle pressure) I was "right there" (due to drivers). After a few runs the cobra was toast.
Im looking forward to seeing what your beast will do at the track!
If all goes well, Ill be back into a viper come March 23rd... my birthday... we shall see. Im in the process of putting a motor in my bronco, getting contracts signed over for my new boat and picking up some dirtbike/atv toys. Cars arent too big out here like they were in chicago so that comes last.... but soon
It was always fun to watch your car back in the days. I always enjoyed the pictures and videos you would post over on Svtperformance.com Soon enough you'll have another nice sports car.
