Pics of the Z06 on Maui

Recently a ferry started service between the island of Oahu and Maui in Hawaii. I live on Oahu and decided to go to Maui for the weekend with the Z06. I got a chance to take a few photos while there.

pics are at 9000+ elevation on the top of Haleakala. (an Extinct volcano in Maui.)

This is mid level of the Volcano.. about CLoud level..

If you see the sign in the back.. The whole way up is like that.. all I can say is that going up that mountain is just as fun as going down!!!

Hopefully next time Tornado will have his viper running and we'll be able to race around Maui.

I agree. I'd love to tear up some twisty roads.

Great pics, the place looks fantastic. I've heard that the traffic is HORRIBLE due to all the tourists. Any truth to that or can you guys still open it up at times.

On Maui, the traffic was pretty bad. There are alot of straight smooth roads begging to get opened up on, but due to the amount of "old" tourist drivers going 5 below speed limit and the roads only being 2 lanes.. not to much room to have fun. Going up the mountain can be just as treacherous. There is a tour that brings people up to the top in vans to view the sunrise, and then ride down on bikes.. so those asshats are always on the road. But I stayed on the volcano pretty late in the afternoon so it cleared up real nice by then, and I had alot of opportunities to open it up going up and down the mountain.
