I am a Viper owner and my Viper is not my daily driver. I would like some help/advice on a selection for a daily driver. I recently sold my daily driver (chevy s10) and am back in the market for a daily. The things which are most important to me in this vehicle are reliability, fuel economy, and A/C is a must have. This car will not be built or modified, it is a simple point A to point B. I don't care what transmission is has, I need it to be more than a 2 seater. My budget is $2500 and I want it paid off, no financing. Ideally I would like a '94+ 240 sx but I haven't seen too many in my price range. What car would you guys recommend in my price range? Thanks
My price bracket won't change soon so I need the daily driver yesterday. I'd prefer a jap 4-banger car for daily driving, the amercian econoboxes suffer from reliability issues. I can't use more than the $2500 because that is how much I got back for my old daily driver, and I have a mortgage to pay and a stock Viper that needs to be modded
lol at $2500 you need to look at the thrifty section. Not much your gonna get for that cheap.
I just bought a Shelby GT500 for my daily driver (Spring/Summer and Fall) and will buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for the Winter. I got hooked driving the Viper that I needed something similar to drive to work that I could pick up the kids with. Figure the Shelby's a Cobra so it would be kind of like a Viper as they are both snakes right?

That thing is a fucking bus! 3950lbs of slowness for 60K!
P.S. oomore buy a used integra. can't fuking go wrong!
Yea I thought about the civic and it will probably be my best bet. Thanks to those of you who threw out a reasonable opinion. I can live driving a daily that is 1/100th the speed of my Viper. My work neighborhood is full of the wrong crowd which they would have a field day on my Viper if they saw it there. This car is only going to be temporary, I have no snow or cold to worry about where I live. Once I'm done with the few things that are going on the Viper, I'll save some more and sell whatever beater I picked up and get myself something much nicer. I'd rather keep the viper and drive a shitty daily driver, seeing that car in my driveway day in and day out keeps me going.
