F50 for sale on ebay for $1m haha

eBay Motors: Ferrari (item 220183707602 end time Jan-03-08 15:47:30 PST)

The F50 has always been my dream car. May not be the best performing ferrari and the older F40 out performs it, but I have always been in love with the looks and the sound. There has been a couple for sale that I have seen for around $350-400k around the original price, but now this guy is selling his for $935,000 HAHA. I couldn't help but laugh.

Talk about being greedy!! Hope someone is not stupid enough to buy it for that price, if he dropped it to $450k.......

Is it not true that unless you've previously owned an F40, you cannot even order an F50 from Ferrari? From what I understand, it's not simply a case of "Here, I have $500K and want to buy one".

They don't make the F50 anymore. It is over 10 years old.

And I would sell my first three children for that car. Just look at it.

It is the purest design ever molded in carbon fiber.

An optimistic price probably but I dont think its THAT over...

The F50's are going up in price. And, the last I saw they seemed to be going in the 700-850k price range, and if this guy wants a hundie grand over the going rate for his - well he may just get it.

There are so few of these cars out there and so few for sale that often the few that do sell set the price - so just because some were going for $x doesn't mean that's the value today.

I don't think they can be had anywhere for less than $650k - the only one you could get for under $400k would be one that's crashed and nees rebuilt!

Yes now anybody can buy one as theyre not new sold from ferrari. The f40 , f50 and enzo all were presold to special hand picked ferrari owners. They were given the "privilege" to buy one, just like lambo hand picked owners for the revention. Any regular old person could not buy one new. You can buy them after the first owner decides to sell any of these cars, but if you sell them right away just for a profit you better believe ferrari or lambo is kicking you off the list for the next time they offer "privileges".

I saw an F-50 a few days ago at a Ferrari dealership in Thousand Oaks, CA. I have no idea what they're asking for it.

Perhaps Toby would know if $935,000 is overpriced for this particular car.

Heard that Ferrari may start enacting contracts so cars cannot be flipped and that the next Ferrari supercar will only be "leasable" b/c of this. We had a friend of our families that was always buying Ferrari's and people were always shocked at the money he was spending, when in reality it was more like having the same wad of cash and using it over and over buying the cars and then selling for same price or more, he never lost money.

I thought they had some kind of lease agreement on the F50 when it was first sold that Ferrari would buy it back.

The F40 is my favorite F car, and the F50 is a close second. The normal selling price for one is in the 600K-700K range, depending on the car. I have never seen one under $500K. I thought they sold new in the 500K range.
That car is way overpriced, but it is a great example of an F50. Even at that crazy high price, he may get a buyer that does not know any better.

Give me an F40, 360CS, and an F430 instead!

Nice car, the price is WOWWEE though. I'd personally rather have a F40 though myself.

If I recall correctly, you had to own a minimum of three Ferraris' and there was the contract deal where Ferrari had the first say when selling the car. I want to say that there were a few other stipulations, but yeah...

Extremely nice grouping in that picture. The F50 is an incredible machine, it is hard to say you wouldn't want one of those bad boys in the garage. Lot of cash though, I am thinking I would spread the money over a few cars, not just one. I realize these things keep going up, but you would have to live in fear of driving it for the extra miles.

If everything goes right, I will be in the market for an F40 in a couple years. The only problem is that I refuse to have a red one. I want Black, and I think that will be next to impossible to find when I am ready.
