I would never get on a bike that fast because I know I would end up killing myself. A nice R6 is all I need, and I still think one of those are too fast to ride on two wheels with.
A guy brought a totally stock 07 busa with 30 day tags on it to the track and went 6.40's on it. He's a pretty experienced rider. Not sure how that compares to normal stock 07's. Granted, I know this is an 08
I took it to the track last night. I went a 6.15 in the 1/8th at 119 mph. It wanted to wheelie till about half track. I went a 1.56 60' but it wanted to come up before the 330'
I just finished installing the new Full Exhaust. Going to re-dyno it now.
Finally, its here 08 HAYABUSA. We got a black and orange a few weeks ago, and I didnt like the color. I wanted the black and grey. Well today the Blue/Black came in, OMG! It's BEAUTIFUL! When I saw it, I totally forgot about the black.
I already lowered it front and back, and removed the tag bracket. The full exhaust should be here tomorrow!
Its gonna hit the dyno in the morning for some break in miles, then go to the track tomorrow night!!!!!

Chris are those times in stock trim? Shawn Gann rode my 99' busa when he was up here for the weekend at Milan and his first pass on it was a 9.48@148 and the second pass was a 9.56@147. The bike was so new everyone at the track shit there pants because they have never seen a Busa run before accept what the saw in the magazine's. The only mods that we did to the bike was lowered and I did my own clutch mod because nothing was out for it at the time and we leaned it out a little with a yosh box. No strap on the front, no gearing, no shifter, no air box mod or filter, nothing. I was actually stunned to see a stock bike run that face. Good luck and Keeps us posted with the new h.p.#'s. & drag strip #'s.
Shawn is right down the road from the track. He runs his all motor busa grudge bike at times. It ran 4.76 the last time he had it out. Bike is just sick, no bars, all motor.

Ya I know, Shawn & I are good friends. He keeps telling me about his busa and how bad ass it is. Now thats a 6 sec street bike if he ever decides to spray it. My busa was the first one that shawn had ever rode and shortly after that his dad got one and the rest is history. You going to be at the rock on the 17th -18th? I will be there.
I was sitting just like you see it in the pics. 87 octane pump gas, and STOCK EVERYTHING ESLE.
That rocks. No one ever believed me when I told them that we make more power with 87 octane. They thought I was pulling there leg. I never had a problem with the bike wheeling like yours. I here that the new one's are harder to get down the track do to that. Nothing a little suspension work wont cure.
