What is a good car to hold myself over until I get my Viper?
Hi,
I'm 19 and have had my eyes set on a viper since I saw one for the first time in 1993. I plan on picking up a Gen II Yellow RT/10 shortly after I graduate dental school (6 years away). Right now, I drive a 1992 Caddy STS. I've had the car since I was 15 and lived in Michigan. I now live in Florida and the Caddy is showing its age. I will most likely drive the Caddy until the tranny goes(I'm guessing another year or two). I want something reasonably priced ($10-15k) that will hold me over until the big snake.
Any suggestions? I was thinking about getting a C4.
That's funny! I bought a yellow 05 right after I graduated dental school. It is a fun profession. You'll enjoy it. What dental schools are you looking at?
As far as the car, you might be able to pick up a used evo or sti in that range that would be fun to drive in the mean time.
LOL at the tricycle! I bet I would get more looks riding that than a viper!
I am currently attending Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. I'm hoping to finish my undergrad in three years instead of four. After that, I plan on going to the University of Florida for dental school. There are a few others I am looking at as well, but UF is the one I really want to attend. I'm taking the DAT next summer. I've been studying for that test for a couple of months now. I'm really excited to start my career! My neighbor is a dentist and I shadowed him for four months after school. I knew for sure that this was exactly what I wanted to do.
Have fun with the 05! This gives me hope that I will be able to pick up my dream car shortly after I get out.
I'm so lucky that my dream car is actually affordable .
GTO is almost in range.
Are you looking for sports car, or a car to hold you over and make sense for someone in your position?
Makes sense is a Dodge Caliber, perfect for a student who can take advantage of 30+ mpg.
Taurus, accord, Jeep cherokee, jeep wrangler. Lots of options, depending on what you really want out of it.
Turned my first one in under lemon law and then bought another one from a guy on the GTO forums. I told the dealer there was something wrong with that first GTO. Thing was cursed. I now have a Quicksilver '04 and it's been great. It's really a perfect daily driver.

I don't think sticking your fingers in someone nasty mouth would be fun, but to each his own. I would enjoy hooking up with the nurses, when the client is knocked out of course....
Hi,
Thank you for the replies! The GTO is definitely a sweet car. I have struck up a few deals with my business and if things go as planned, I will be getting a Viper much sooner than I expected . Hopefully I will be able to push the Caddy for another two or three years and then get my snake.
As far as dentistry goes, it definitely isn't for everyone. But the entire aspect of the career is what attracted me. The combination of science, business, heathcare, four day work weeks, and the lifestyle makes it perfect for me.

Hell, you need to move out here and practice!
These fuckers probably work less than 20 hours per week, and pull down a half a mil per year at least!

Man, I really wish I would of picked one of these up instead of my Lincoln. I recently saw an Orange '06, what a nice car and they sound great!
