Your hummer has to be worth more if they are willing to do a straight up trade Chris. Have them toss in a BIG warranty and go for it if that is what you want. They are nice.
my friend actually bought a shitty h3 for his wife last month. When we went to his house to have the kids get together last weekend I was parked side by side to it with my wifes new grand cherokee. The h3 actually looked a tad larger than the cherokee which surprised me but still looked like a big fat shitburger.
I went to the local dealer tonight and almost came home with a new 07. Actually I think I'm going back tomorrow to get it. They are gonna trade me Straight Up for my Hummer. Its black with 4 miles on it and has the SRT1 package, and Sunroof.
What do you guys think? Do it or Not?
Does it have nav/backup camera? If not, MSRP on that truck should be around $43.7k. MSRP on my truck was $45.3k, and I got $3k off MSRP.
They are neat trucks, but drive one first to make sure you're happy with the stiff ride. It does take a bit of getting used to if you're not using it as a highway cruiser. Lots of bump steer, tire noise and exhaust noise...but if you need the baddest SUV out there (aside from the Cayenne Turbo or ML63), it's a decent tradeoff.

I passed on the new one. I know I can get more for my Hummer. I "will" have one soon. Its just a matter of time. I have decided to go used because I usually only keep daily drivers a few months at a time. I would loose too much money on a new one.
Old man is very seriously considering one...
Loaded 07 every option..
Drove it, sick truck..
Loaded, every option, nav, rear camera kids, dvd....
Not wanted, but that's what the car has. 5k at least in extras.
Anyone out there know of any 'lingo' that he can throw out there to counter any sales tactics???
Trading my mom's 2002 Liberty limited w only 20k miles. Cherry car.
They are high, have already dropped significantly but in my mind, the 07's will be old news in what, two months from now ????
Bottom line, he should be in this vehicle..
Dad has been battling cancer for over two years, total hot rod guy, has had jeeps of some sort for over 10 years and I want him to be able to lay a verbal hammer and get this done and get the figure he wants..
Any advice would be greatly appreicate from anyone that's done it.
I know he wants it badly but for the right cake per month.
Gas still sucks.. These things aren't exactly rolling off of the floors...
That being said, I feel he has leverage, but not really sure how to play it.l
Any tips / things you guys have thrown out there to counter and shut the sales mouths up, greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks guys.
Please pm me anything that you suggest that may help him get this done in his favor.
Fuck it, one step further, anyone out there who love these things and wives have loved them as well, it will help him get this done.

My dad, great, honorable man who knows his cars.
Any pos. feedback may help his decision.
Just get a quote from CHAMPION JEEP in Ill. They sell them for $500 BELOW Invoice. Take it in and see if they can get close. They are not going to come down but so much and still give you decent money for your trade.
You low ball them, They are going to Low Ball you!

Thank you,

Woody,
The dealer where I bought my truck in Jersey came almost $3k off MSRP. I used Champion for an example of the deal I could get as an example when I was negotiating. I told them to take a few minutes and browse eBay if they doubted me. At the time Champion had a few GC SRT8's listed. I think, at a minimum, you should be getting $2-3k off MSRP, especially if it's loaded truck with SRT1, nav and VES.
Also, my wife loves the truck. She's got a GL450, but takes the SRT8 every opportunity she gets. The ride is a bit rough, but the sporty nature, rumbling exhaust and feel of the truck offset it for her.
