Who is into boats?

I just spent the last 4 or 5 days cleaning up my baby. Winter is a long time. But she is now ready to party for summer time. Lots of oils and filters, twin 7.4 merc with fresh water cooling, Kohler genset, flush fresh water system. Clean out the tanks. Clean and put away eisenglass. Top her off with $1,100 worth of gas

She is a Doral 360SE with a hair under 40' loa and about 18,000lbs.

IF I know the alley she will be a dinghy compared to some of the members boats...I would love to see them. Post up!

Nice boat, I'm into the Deep Vee Offshore Speed Boats, nothing like literally flying over the ocean swells

Thanks Peak - had a great little 23 foot sport boat before this...after the birth of twins (had two already) we were all ass and elbows. So its the floating condo for a bit. Its a bitch to board behind and burns about 45 gallons an hour Perhaps a jetski is in order.

Socal - love deep v's - maybe someday for me when I'm on the ocean. I my little ass lake I'd be from one end to another is 3 minutes and piss off everyone on the way

Got to go see Dave Scott NautiBoat Website last year at he offshore races in Fort Meyers FL- he drives the Bud Select boat. BAD ASS. Those guys are crazy insane twin blown sterling engines at 200 mph. He also has a killer SRT-10 Ram and frequents these boards now and again.

Now - post up what you got!

Which Wakesetter?

Although I prefer Supra, Malibu has been coming on strong in recent years.

nice boat. My last boat was a 28 ft. Grady White which I bought new in 99 and sold in 2000. Fucking things are an expensive hobbies but FUN. I love the fishing so thats why I chose the GW. Think I paid 85k for the boat in 99 and sold it for 50k the following year. I upgraded the outboards to twin 250 evinrudes which easily moved the boat to speeds of 65 mph! Damn scary in a boat like that. But god damn you got to the fishing quick. The Coastguard had restrictions at the time which limited the twins to 225 max for my size vessel but my buddy was in charges of enforcing those restrictions so I never got hustled.

Hustler and Outerlimits make great large Deep Vees, very stable and cuts on a dime. Skaters are the best air entrapment hulls, KRAZY has a 36' that will do 150mph

Yeah I don't care. I want to read about vipers. I would have done anything to have found some of these sites 2 years ago before doing my truck. Would have saved me a ton of time/money. I haven't been around this board that long, so not sure what it takes to get banned. I think this is the first person to get banned since I've bene posting.

Hey Womsterr,

Nice galley in the boat. What type of wood was used for the cabinets?

Womsterr, would you mind telling me what kind of wood that is?

Womsterr,

Just wondering what kind of wood that is? Don't mean to keep asking.

I was seriously waiting for that the moment I saw this thread. Same goes for me I'd love to get a boat but not quite in budget at themoment... one day though. I grew up spending summers at my grandparents lake house way up in NH, awesome times for sure. On V style hull's a stepped hull is where its at.
