Mother-in-law just picked up one of these turbo babies...
Looks nice, wife went for a ride yesterday; I haven't seen it yet, but she says she loves it.

Is that the 'Red Line' model?
If so, I think it has 260hp.
I was reading about it in the local paper and was pretty surprised about the performance vs. price. Very impressive!

MP,
If you get a chance check out the wastegate. Its built right on to the header. I happened to see the Solstice turbo's motor outside of the car at the Chicago Autoshow this year and was immediately thinking on how that configuration could be improved.

Not bad. I like it more than the Solstice.

Agreed. I hate the front end of the solstice.

I'll check it out; I do know they were not able to use their GM employee-family discount and paid sticker.

my gf bought one at 5 over list a while ago...only has 1k miles on it now, she never drives it. (solstice, non turbo) . its umm fun, but im 5'10 and 168lbs and I barely fit... no room for anything. handles well. im sure with some power it would be fun. but i think a viper or vette is more practical

I was surprised how sharp this car is in person. I have not driven one but with 260 hp sounds like it should be a fun car to drive.

Turns out I misunderstood their story, she didn't get the turbo after all, just the regular. They got the only one delivered to the area when the guy in front of them insisted on waiting for the turbo and so they got the only one the dealer had gotten.
But my wife's mother doesn't need a turbo; she just like cruising around.

Turbo Mother-In-Law can still just cruise around until she feels the need for speed.
