Took the SRT-8 out to the drag strip last night (vid)

Went out there with a couple Viper buddies and got to finally air it out a bit. Made six passes (four with me and two with a friend driving). One of our other friends made a video of one of my passes with some nice editing and just sent it to me:

i have never seen a stock 300 run under a 13. most test times put it at 13.1 and 13.2 stock. cars runnin nitrous are putting down 12.2-12.5. not to cast doubt, but that car aint stock!

Is it 12.4 or 12.9? No way it's stock and turning 12.4s.

12.4..............no way it is stock. The best I have seen was 13 flat.

hmmmm was this with a 60mph tail wind? Wow that sounds incredibly low. I have an 05 GTO with CAI, and am only hitting 12.82 (6 spd). I do have 2 buddies with SRT8s, but their bone stock cars are not running anything close to that. Theyre in the 13.08 range (300C and Magnum SRT8s)

Before I get blasted TOO much, those videos were done by a fellow Viper owner and we were tweaking the crap out of the local Viper guys (my phone, e-mail, PM/IM's have been going non-stop). Brian is a professional video guy and he tweaked them both and then sent them to our local club members. My best time was a dismal 13.89 @ 104.44 MPH (90 degrees out too). I don't have a dishonest bone in my body, but these videos were simply too good to pass up. And yes, that car WILL hit those numbers eventually. But it is going to take some mods to do it...
