as a side note, i ran the jeep at the track last week, mopar cai and zoomers cat back. 12 runs, every single one 13.55. I even let two other guys run, 13.55-13.60, one run even had a cute lil passenger. the jeep is pretty quick.
Chris, where is the full blown 2+ page report with pics like we are used to receiving. You are slacking
Sorry guys, I am on a road trip (without either SRT, dang it) and have very little Net access or even phone access. No, not prison - the Canadian Rockies. I will give you a full report and better pictures when I get back.
Oh yeah, and I paid $38,500 fully loaded out the door including gas guzzler tax - about $5K below employee pricing. Brand new with eight miles on the odometer. But that will be our little secret...
Here is one pic for you, then it is back to the vacation:
Yeah, yeah - sacriledge I know. But since my other SRT is down in Miami right now...
I would consider all interesting trades. I have sold a few cars on ebay, never have i seen one with over 11,000 views and 150+ people watching it. Hopefully i will get a nice pop at the end of the charger listing. Otherwise I am taking it up the ass sideways.
Think of your rides thus far? I am within a gnat's ass of pulling the trigger on an SRT-8 300C and am curious if there is anything good, bad, or ugly I should know about beforehand. More curious about the Magnum, Charger, & 300C versions, but even feedback on the Jeep SRT-8 would be cool. Thanks!
Since you asked, our Demon Eye kits are becoming very popular with SRT-8 owners.
Saw these and the article written about Freebird's 300 SRT-8 (lower photo). Sounds like a pain in the ass to install, given that you have to pry the actual headlight housing open to do so. Don't get me wrong, they look cool in a BMW sort of way, but probably a bit much for my intentions.
Right now I am thinking grill and side badges (dump the "300C" badging and put on the SRT-8 badges from the trunk). After that it will be nothing but performance mods. Car is pretty damn sweet just as it sits...
i want the jeep. when i'm done with my yukon that will probably be my next daily driver.

The jeep, well, its a jeep. The interior has more plastic than any american auto on the road. The stereo sounds like a boombox from the 70's . At highway speeds it is TWITCHY and wanders everywhere. Tons of torquesteer doesnt instill confidence.
I think my Yukon XL is a great handling and reasonably powered vehicle. I didn't buy it to haul ass - just kids and dogs. I would NEVER get out of it in favor of a Jeep with the qualities enumerated above. Screw bad ride, shitty tunes and cheap interiors.

And that is EXACTLY why we kept our Denali XL. The 300C SRT-8 has a great ride, AWESOME tunes (the Kicker system is hands down the best factory system I have ever heard in ANY vehicle - Lexus, Infiniti, etc.), and I will forgive the cheap interior (dash & door materials especially). But it isn't built for hauling the family cross country or loading up the latest truckload from Costco.
Denali for hauling the kids and big stuff, SRT-8 for hauling groceries & ass, and the Viper for just hauling ass.
I went to the dyno late last week, and one of my friends brought a Charger SRT-8. It made 370RWHP/355TQ, and he ran 13.3x @ 110 in the 1/4 a few weeks ago (automatic). Nice looking car! I think I prefer the 300c SRT-8 though.
BTW to continue with the hijack theme - my Gen I made 471/492.
