This is an automoblie that I have owned for 30 years. It has seen many changes and several motors and transmissions. 2 Years ago I decided I would do a frame-off resto on it. First I decided to go after the suspension. I added a Global West pro Touring package. QA1 coilovers are great and I lost over 40 lbs eliminating the front springs. Tubular A-Arms come powder coated and there is a nice weight loss again. The brakes are supplied by Wilwood. 6 piston up front and 4 piston in the rear. Calipers were over 6 lbs apiece lighter. The leaf springs are set up differently with this system. I then added a Currie rear with a Ford 9 inch and Richmond 6 speed.
Next I purchased a 427 small block from American Speed. The motor has 569hp. Be Cool Radiator really keeps it running cool on the hot Florida summer days. After some fine tuning and nearly a year later I brought the car into a resto shop.
The frame was removed and powdercoated along with anything that could be removed. Every nut bolt and body panel was changed. I had a few that were good but I wanted all new sheetmetal. The windows were easy to get but finding all the proper rollers for the windows took some extra time. I added the Year One spoiler which is off the 69 Trans Am. My next addition was a third brake light. I settled on Viper Blue as my color. I have not had a chance to take many pictures but I will post mostly some of the resto process . This weekend I will be able to take some more pics of the completed project.

Phil all I need now is some fine tuning. The pictures are dark I took. It was after 8 PM when I decided to get a few pics. Going to Orlando tomorrow but if I get home early enough I will give the camera a workout.
See it in person you say? Take a ride in it? Let's see Crystal River is about 2 1/2 hours away?
That is very very nice Rick. Are you taking it to Orlando tomorrow? Didn't you say there was something going on in Gainesville soon also? I'd love to take some "Tobyesk" pictures of it!
Yes I believe he is too. I also think I said I would love to take some pictures of the car. But maybe subliminally I really was saying hey I wan't to steal you from your wife!
Get over it Schill and quit trying to make me look like some fucking home wrecker! And I believe these are grown men who can handle themselves and don't need big brother watching over them.
For fuck's sake, if I was trying to leg hump anybody here I'd at least have enough sense to do it in a PM.
My son said the exact thing yesterday Josh. I have let him drive the Viper a few times and he has such a huge smile I think his face is going to crack. At 16 yrs old my biggest car thrill was driving a Rambler with a 3 speed manual on the column.
I also added the Dakota Digital dash. It is a direct replacement for the stock unit. You have a choice of several colors and I went with blue. It has several nice features built in to the dash.
0-60 mph time in seconds
High speed recall
1/4 mile time in seconds
end of 1/4 mile speed
high rpm recall
Here are some pictures of the dash. Also is a picture of my wiring nightmare. I was able to purchase the complete wiring harnesses for the entire car. That made the job of wiring it easy.
