I have to say my last company I worked for was London based but trying to break in here in the U.S.
They are VERY bitter towards Americans regardless of what they state.
I laughed my balls off when they'd try to rip on us.
I find it comical how they will try to find ANYthing wrong with anything with an American signature on it, and yet, ( not getting too deep here, but truth ) who in the fuck do they run to when there's a problem???

New Z06 ( I don't care for the looks personally and am disappointed that GM doesn't offer a removable roof ), for a STOCK vehicle is SICK performance wise....
Period.
For those pale, toothless fuckers to do anything other than bow to it ( especially with the price ) sums up their agenda.
I guarantee they didn't even want to really track test it...

That fucking car scored above the Porshce GT Carrera and many other exotics.. All they focused on was the ride...

Then, if you notice, they took away the wet rating beside the Viper time and made fun of it when they ran that Marcos (or whatever the hell it was with the Corvette Motor) by saying that it did better with a big American motor than the Americans could. Of course that car was tested in the dry and barely beat the Viper. Plus, if Stig had not have burnt out for 300 feet, you know that Z06 would have beaten the GT3 and Ferrari 360 CS.

Yeah, they poke fun of American cars but they make fun of British cars too. The show is comedy. It is just part of what makes it funny. Clarkson couldn't hate American cars too much if he owns a GT and drove a viper from his wedding.
You also said that the ZO6 beat the porsche GT. It was right behind the GT3 if I remember correctly. It had a little way to go to match the GT. All the same, they gave it praise for it's ability and compared it to a Ferrari that costs much more.
Yeah, they tested the viper in the rain. They do that with a lot of cars. It's fucking England.

Being a TV show, especially one with the theatrics of Top Gear, odds are that the burnout was dropped in to add a bit of excitement to the shot and further push the point that Clarkson made throughout the segment, that the Z is damned fast. It in no way means that the Stig did a big burnout during his times runs.

I just find it funny how their assessment gets you so worked up.
Clarkson is the best automotive journalist, period. I don't agree with his opinion this time but keep in mind the audience the show is for and that they try to inject a little humor here and there. Would you care if they were bashing on a renault?
