As some of you might remember I sold my GTS about a month ago, and picked up a new M3 for family reasons. Well, so far my experience sucks

Even though it's not broken in and I can't go past 5,500 rpms, I get the sneaky suspicion that I'll never get over the fact that this thing has about as much torque as a blender. And for some odd reason I just don't feal safe in the car

In the Viper my senses felt almost razor sharp, and in tune. In the M3 I feel kind of numb and distracted.
So far I have stalled the thing 3 or 4 times at traffic lights. I just can't get used to the wimpy feel of the clutch and lack of torque coming out of the hole. In 12 years of manual ownership I have never had this happen, that being said though, I have always had at least a V8 to back me up. Will I ever get used to it??
I'm beginning to regret the fact that I opted for the M3 over the Caddy CTS-V, I bet I would have felt much more at home with the Vette engine and trans to play with. Maybe even the 300CSRT-8 would have been a better match.
As a lifelong gearhead, I'm currently in car ownership limbo. Not the place I thought I'd be at my age. It's a mid life crisis in reverse. Instead of running out and buying the bitchin sports car, I'm lamenting the fact that I traded in one the best cars on the planet for a German buzzbomb
