Damn, why did they do that? I'm not too big on making sports cars into convertibles, takes away from the overall look/sleek design of the car IMO. Especially when they put a cheap toupee looking ragtop on it, i.e. 360 spider, 350Z.

Wow, I really like that. E-gear, nav, and a soft top that finally looks decent when it's up. Mmmm. No price though. I bet it's gonna be close to a Muri coupe.

They re-did the motor and suspension and things too - its not just a roof job. I like the murci, but I just prefer the dimensions (and the headlights) of the gallardo. Its a shame it has normal doors but it would be my daily driver

I agree the toupee tops aren't as nice looking as the convertible hard tops, like on Mercedes SLs, but if you ever get to witness the engineering of say, a 360 spyder's top being retracted, you will be amazed.

I like the speedster twin cockpit look of the show car over the final regular convertible they ended up with. Still cool but no Merci roadster.

Actually, that is the old prototype they first unveiled a year ago I think, not the final production car (but you probably knew that).

I should have been a little more clear on that. I heard that they did sell that prototype though??? Just what I read on the lambo forums.....
