Yeh, it's the old "domestic vs. import" angst... The domestic is cheaper, looks worse inside, isn't usually as robust and reliable, and doesn't have the resale performance. The import has more panache, holds value better, but often costs more and underperforms the domestic.
I also test-drove a Porsche 997S today (hey, it was my day off!), and, shit, I gotta say - no way can I justify 90K for such a vehicle (my Gen II will blow it away like goose down in a snow storm in a straight line) but - - - the damn thing just has more class than a Viper...turns in better too.
I need to be filthy rich so I can get a Carrera for my grocery-getter!

I wholeheartedly agree. Until I got to drive some of the up-scale european and japanese cars I didn't see what the big deal was...
As far as an everyday car goes for mid 30 K's you would have a hard time not buying a Japanese car. They aren't the most inspiring but Lexus and Acura make some really nice cars.

$30,700.00 bought me a 2005 Acura TL. No regrets at all.
Yeah, I thought so too. For comparison, a fully loaded Charger is virtually the same money. To me, the interior of the car is ergonomically & ascetically 100 times more pleasing than the Charger.
My picture.....
Dodge factory picture (as good as it can possibly get)....
The exterior comparison between the two is not even close.
After driving my ass around in a van 40,000+ miles per year, when off the clock I owe it to myself to drive a NICE sedan. Unfortunately, to me, Dodge just isn't producing that caliber of sedan that I want. The Dodge Magnum interior sucked in 1981 & it hasn't gotten any better with its reincarnation in the new Charger.

Just a quick question for Mr. Miguel X. Are you guys planing on releasing any real accessories / performance upgrades for the SRT-10? The floor mats, front bumper bra and plastic toneau cover for the convertable top just isn't enough. How about the carbon fiber hard top from the srt carbon concept. A lot of people would want to convert their convertables to hard top.
That is definitely a good question. However, as of now, we have yet to receive any official word as to whether or not that will be an available Mopar Aftermarket Accessory. Stay posted with us for any updates that may arise in the coming weeks. I will try to further research this for you. If you happen to have any other questions, feel free to post.
As an aside, have you had a chance to check out the Hemistar website to cast your vote (voting will begin tomorrow 11/23/05)!?
