We're going to test a camshaft and springs for Comp in the next few weeks. I just received the parts and as soon as we get a spare moment we'll install and test.

Hey Larry,

We've been doing some R&D (porting, valve jobs) on a set of hemi heads, we have them in the 320cfm range at .600 lift at this point. Maybe we can set up a test to see what gains you get with ported heads, cam, springs etc...
Let me know if your interested.

Hello Harold,

I'm game, what did you have in mind? I need to baseline my truck and install the cam first, then look at the possibility of installing some cylinder heads.

Re: Hemi Ram Camshaft and Springs

It depends on how much time you have to test. We could baseline the stock motor, install the cam see how much it picks up the motor. Then install the ported heads and see what we get with the new cam and ported heads. Or baseline the stock motor, install the new cam get a number, go back to the stock cam and install the ported heads get a number. Then go to the ported heads and new cam and get a number. This second scenario would show us what the cam is worth alone as well as what the heads are worth alone. And we would get a number for the heads and cam as a package. What do you think!

We'd be more than happy to test a set of your Hemi cylinder heads, Harold. I just can't promise you'd ever have them returned once installed on my truck... :thumb:

Just knowing my heads are on your truck is enough for me.

Re: Hemi Ram Camshaft and Springs

Hopefully I can get the camshaft installed this week and do the necessary testing Comp needs, then it's time to get some head(s).
