Went to see the 2006 Dodge Charger.. Lots of pictures.....
There was a "Dodge Test Drive" night at the former S. Wemouth Naval AF Base in MA on Thursday. So I called up a friend & took the Viper out of moth balls for a little night out to see what it was all about.
At least the cobwebs got blown off on the ride down...
And there it is in person, the 2006 Charger. As you can see by the throngs of people gathered around that this vehicle is a real hit......
Just like their new station wagon, the interior reminds me of the awesome vintage 1981 Magnum.....
Looking at the interior shot, what is just to the right of the shifter? Are they already providing for cash back programs?
As a matter of fact, they handed out a voucher which is good for 1% off your next Chrysler vehicle purchase. Being that I have a new Sprinter van on order which is being shipped next week I was thrilled. However, the Sprinter along with the Viper are excluded from the promotion. :fist:
Personally I think this is the ugliest pig to hit the streets. I can't believe D/C actually signed off on that. But the rest of those pics are pretty cool. Thanks for the visual.

Actually the old Hemi was a true hemispherical piston compared to what they are using in todays HEMI
The old 354 & 392's were the only true hemis that Chrysler ever built. The 426 was not true as the exhaust valve was canted slightly straighter for the engine to fit the engine bay. Otherwise, it would have been too wide.
DC's entire design team needs to get shit canned, along with the idiots that approved these designs.That charger car is hideous and looks from the front to be the offspring of a chrysler 300 and dodge magnum? They even screwed up the smooth body lines of the '06 viper coupe. Did I mention that the srt-10 looks like a honda s2000 on steroids.
And the interior of that charger does look like crap and appears to have very little thought and creative design put into it. As someone stated earlier, there will be legions of nascar loving rednecks lined up to purchase this crap. Then most of those idiots will throw dubs on the car to make it look even worse. Just my .02

Speaking of which, Kelly and I saw a Dakota in a parking lot the other day with 20's on it. I swear, we stopped and gawked like it was the bearded fat lady in the circus. That truck looked like a roller skate on steroids. :doh:
