Love it. They also need to make an FJ40 to rival Jeep Wrangler. I had a 1970 FJ40 Cruiser with a cheby 350 V8/auto tranny that was unstoppable...custom built front bumper that we used to knock down trees...very fun off road vehicle.

Interesting you say that as I am looking/researching to purchase a older FJ40.

I am finding restored examples around 15-30K. I even found a guy you restores them to "better than new" condition with tons of options but he wants 40k+

I bet it doesn't come with the front and back winches.

I wonder if there is any money in making the one off PROTO type tires that are always on them.

Got a 74 FJ-40 sitting in the garage. Always thought they were the sweetest looking offroad vehicles. This one does look a little wierd though.

Damn that thing looks NIIIIICE. I like it! Need more pics of the interior and seating surfaces though. So far it looks like a nice toy, but too damned rugged to be a comfortable daily driver. Makes a big difference if the interior "metallic" surfaces turn out to be too plastic like, and if those wheels end up smallish. Overall it reminds me of a Land Rover Defender 90.

Built for one purpose.
Tearin up some trails. which is pretty much what the original FJ-40 was designed for.
