Snorman was pretty spot on. The car is starting to grow on me. I love my Viper but the interior has me excited. I hope the C7 can make big power easily but I'm a little worried it may not. I have a feeling the C7 and new Viper will look really good in certain colors and boring in other colors. I actually think a Gen5 Viper in blue with white stripes won't look that good. But I have seen a Gen5 Viper in person that was black with silver stripes and it looked beautiful. Just my opinion.

Black looks good everything else looks like it is smiling at you. B/W looks horrible and the plastic pieces on the hood and grill doesn't justify spending 145k for it. Sorry fit and finish its behind the 8ball for that kind of dough.

IMO, once the C7's get out on the road they are going to make the C6's look very dated.
Face it, this is the best performing, most technologically advanced base Corvette ever made. The reviews are noting the tremendous amount of technology in these cars from the new infotainment, to the completely reconfigurable 8" LED gauge screen to the eLSD and MSRC.
A year ago I never would have thought that I'd buy a Corvette, now I have a Z51 on order.

And they were never going to weigh 3000 lbs.. That was internet dreamers out there spreading that rumor. Meeting that target while introducing DI, AFM, increased content would have been nearly impossible. This car with within a few pounds of a 458. And FWIW, I wouldn't consider the 3444 "as tested" weight of the car to be accurate. Base car weight is 3298, and I would expect GM will list the Z51 at around 3375 or so.
S.
this. I would rather not have a base vette though, even with all the advancements. I prefer the look of the Gen V much more as a complete fluid design. The new Z will have my attention though and Gubment motors may still get my money if they nail the Z.

Got to spend a little more time with a Gen5 today and...I enjoyed it. The best parts of the car looks wise just don't show in pictures. I had a blast with the Gen5. Would I spend $100k+ for it, never....70k you bet.

That is what took me to the Chevy Dealer today. The price of a ZL1 has grabbed me. I will drive it this weekend when the weather clears up. But if I like the ZL1...im willing to bet I will drool for a C7 ZR1 vette. The sound of the LSA was so good, so much better than the Gen5.

The white Gen V with grey stripes looks insanely good too. I saw a B/W Gen V in San Diego and had to have a private moment with myself.

Nice stuff!
My C6Z06 is a blast to drive around Laguna Seca. When the time comes. I can't wait to test the C7Z06 around the track..

I saw a Blue/White Gen V at a store here and didn't do much for me, not like how the Gen IIs look in that combo. But the white ones I've seen w/ or w/o stripes look awesome.

White with gun metal looks awesome, right up there with black for best colors on the Gen V. Get some custom wheels in gun metal and would look sick. Dissapointed in the orange though, it's not near as deep or dark as the Gen IV orange. There was a Gen IV in orange and black stripes and custom black wheels lowered running around here that looked absolutely menacing. Don't know who owned it but I think some pics were on here before, belonged to I think one of the rim shops in Miami/or owner of shop.

The T/A orange is a disappointment. They need to roll out Toxic orange again. I can't imagine anything topping a TO GenV with gunmetal stripes. I think my head would explode !

I will wait for the Z additions and hope for the best. The only thing I hated about the C6 appearance was they all look alike after the wide body options became available on models about the base. KInd of like the Mustang world

The few spy shots of the "z" really looks like a c7 mule. IDK

I've been told by my sources the new ZO7 and C7 ZR1 will be two BADASS'S etc.

ZO7 will be a hell of a Track Car.
N/A re designed 427ci

C7 ZR1 will be a hell of a HP Performance Car.
S/C 383ci for a new re designed LT9, new Roots S/C, different lobe design etc.
750HP is the Target.
