It's a carbon fiber insert/cover. Testing showed that it didn't do anything at speed and actually created a weird pressure front. So it got plugged.

Thanks for all of the pics. I love the look of the regular F40 (not the LM model as much).

Those specs for the F40 must be from a modified model, because the factory stock F40 is closer to the performance of the SRT-10 Viper. 0-60 in 3.9, 0-100 in 8.4, 1/4 mile in 11.8@124MPH.

It's certainly a nice exotic car for a rich racer or for occasional street use. [img]/images/graemlins/supergrin.gif[/img]
