That thing is fast...Apples and oranges but couldn't help looking up his fastest times in one of his tuned Vipers. Fastest road legal stock bodied Henny Viper I could find was 220mph in 24 secs to cover the mile.....
So this Lotus beast is just nasty at 19 secs to 230mph....
Still think the price is nucking futz for what still looks like a modded Lotus, but no doubt the car is a fucking beast. That light and with that much power, bet it's incredibly fun to drive.
That is movin. I would love to see the speedo during this run. It sounds great!
We will include speedo cam and VBox display on future videos. This was just the first shakedown test on our latest build. Just threw the GoPros on for a few runs and liked what we got.
Here's some in-car footage and you can see how hooked up and stable the car is at speed (driving with one hand at over 200 mph). We calibrate the speedo on each car with GPS during initial testing. Thus, you can see the tach revving to 7000 rpm but the speedo was not calibrated or working on this run.
That black "dust", was it dust or car running that rich and it was the exhaust?

Think about the R&D this 1 mans Company invested. Not a huge car company, 1 man. Then I wonder what the help that Lotus lent "costs"?
Then crash testing
Govt. BS
Then the fact he won't be making 1,000s to recoup his capital.

And on and on and on
1/4 mile time would be nice to see. I am a fan of this car too. Don't care what others say. American ingenuity at work.
Yes the car costs stupid money but you can't argue with those numbers. He is also still a business man and if people are willing to pay that much, more power to him.
