still liking it! the trans is the only issue i have with it. seems to be guessing what gear to be in. if they made a manual for this car i would jump on it! that being said, the trans were made for the massive torque of the v-12 tt, so they are bullet proof atleast. i thought the viper was built pretty robust, but the drivetrain on this thing looks more like it is for a 1 ton truck!
car now has a 180mm lower pulley, smaller upper blower pulley, aftermarket heat exchanger, bigger pump, trunk mounted 6 gallon water/ice tank for he, methanol injection, tune, trans retune, billet pullies, custom intake, and alot of other little go fast crap. headers and exhaust are next, then a 100shot. should be able to snatch the world record 1/4 time for an sl55 with ease! 10.88 or better will get it. i should be about there now, the last couple parts should put it over the top!

Viper Polyurethane Control arm bushings work awesome!!
just got done mounting a 7" tablet inside to act as the entertainment center but also to show my gauges. some pretty cool apps out there now that you can link to ecu via bluetooth and show multiple sensors in real time in a gauge type layout.
have had the engine pretty far apart so far checking stuff out and modding. havn't hit the dyno, but did have a remote tune downloaded for this combo. should be knocking on 600rwhp. feels pretty solid as i have yet to be able to floor it without having the traction control step in.

I've always said Benz would kill it of they offered a manual in any of the AMG cars, don't know why they won't, they have the capabilities and plenty of demand for AMG enthusiast that would give their left nut for a manual car. That's why I love the CTS-V Caddy still has the balls to put a nice manual in, BMW blahh, the E60 manual sucked fucking balls since they never geared or matched it right.
I would love a new E63 turbo with a manual, especially since the tables have turned and now Benz has the "sport" feel and BMW M models even feel bloated and numb now (oh yeh and gotta love the fake speaker engine sounds in the new M5 LOL). New E63 drives so nice and sharp.
i had the trans reprogrammed, but it didn't cure or even help really the bitches i had with it. i had to opt for a remote download tune as nobody within 1000 miles can tune the car. so, i have some hickups on throttle tip in and since i am spinning the blower so much faster, when it switches on it is pretty violent and can be unexpected sometimes. so in other words, the normal shit that happens when you build a car up. lol
great car, just a little more work to make perfect. in stock form, these probs are far less noticeable.
Anyone have thoughts on a SL65 AMG with the TT V12
That wide body looks damn good! How much?
the sl65's are beasts. a simple $600-700 tune will net you in the 620-630hp range and deep into 700ftlbs. it just gets better from there. a couple companies have 1000-1200hp kits. it kind of makes the viper tax look cheap though! i wish i would have held out for an sl65, but i really could not pass up the deal i got on mine.
i do have another 5.5 amg engine on the way though, and plan on building that for a tt. i figure it is good to keep a spare around as tuners in the mb world are not that good and popping engines seems to be abit of the norm. ug.
the kit is usually around $10k. lots of other parts needed and they are not cheap either. $1500 each headlight, grill is $800 and other stuff to do the updates. if you search though, you can get them cheaper, but used isn't even an option. for the guy who can't do the install and paint, tack that on also and don't forget the new wheels. i am glad i can atleast do the body and paint. i am at about 170 hours fitting the kit!
luckily all my labor is free or i wouldn't want to try and afford it! the misha cars pull a pretty penny though and i should be able to look forward to getting all the money back out of it, and then some. hopefully.
btw- learned more on the trans thing. you can swap out the line pressure solenoids to the slr ones and it makes a huge difference in the speed of the shift. i already have the programming from the slr, so it will basically be an slr trans once the solenoids are replaced. will be the next mod when body is done.
Looking good! There's some really good body shops out in Cali that have done some crazy builds. I remember they built one of these not too long ago. Not sure if it was RDB LA, Specialty Car Craft, or another shop among those lines. When finished, this kit makes the car look so damn good.
was about to say how you hit it out of the park with this car until i saw the new color. i had no idea you were mexican and from fort lauderdale. change the color and then its a sick looking car.
